Is anybody going to any bonfire displays/partys this weekend?

The girls have been invited to their friends for fireworks and a sleepover tomorrow night ~ so hubby and I are off out for a curry

We are going to a display at the local rugby club, they have a big bonfire and quite a good display :sunny:

No sadly,

I do love fireworks, but I am going to have to stay in with my dogs. The oldest 13 and a half, really freaks and sits shaking when they go off. We nearly lost her last year and it took us a month to get her back to normal. I am trying a DAP plug in this year, so hopefully things will be better.

Have fun all, and keep safe xx

I'm not a lover of fireworks displays, unless there are WDW, so will be staying indoors.

We aren't bothering this year. We usually go to the organised display at the local Caterpillar factory, but last year it went on for ages with so long between each firework we were frozen!

So this year we are going bowling on Sunday and them coming home to watch the rugby before having homemade hotdogs and burgers :)

Should just be time for Sunday Trans-Atlantic Trip Planning Chat at 7pm then - every one welcome :)

I'll be glad when it all stops, it sounds like the battle of the somme round here perminant booms and bangs, my poor collie doesn't like it. Mind you neither do I when they go off all night.

:furious:

Probably not unless me and Steve make a last minute decision to go to one ;)

not going to a display, I can look out of my window and see one :lmao: . they get annoying when they go off at 2am!

Working so not going to any and luckily not involved in any at work either!

Claire ;)

Going to our friends house when I've finished work at 7.30pm. She doesn't want fireworks (too tight fisted!), only sparklers for the children, when I spoke to her husband he said he was going to go and buy some (which he subsequently has).

Having a party for my DD and about 9 of her friends.

Just home from a bonfire at a friend's pub

Oldest DD (Laura) is still up there working on the bottle bar and I had a real struggle to get Eve home.................... ;)

Think I can safely say a great time was had by all

The sale of fireworks to the general public should be banned. Only organised, safety concious events should be allowed so that we, our children and pets can live a normal life. It's been like a re-enactment of the Somme round here the last two nights, the kids won't sleep. Our cats are scared witless. And what for? Ask people what they're letting fireworks off for or what date it's to commemorate and 99% wouldn't have a clue.

Fireworks should be banned :furious: :furious: :furious:

So no, I won't be going to one!
