Bond Movies

Nod of respect: Spectre.

Why? It shows the origins of the infamous Spectre organisations, Blofeld and the "traditional" M. Not that I don't miss Dame Judi :(

Also: Skyfall.

Why? My favourite baddy :)

Die another day is my favorite movie. Golden Eye is my favorite Bond song. N64’s the world is not enough is my favorite Bond game.

I don't know that I could narrow it down!

I can say I really disliked the filming of Quantum of Solace...it was too jerky and I had to leave the theater. :crazy2:

Favorite movies - any with Sean Connery. Favorite theme song - don't have one. Basically, I just like looking at Sean Connery and listening to him talk.

Have never really been a fan of Bond movies but have still watched many through the years because of my husband. I do know that Roger Moore was my favorite and my least favorite is Daniel Craig.
Haha!! I’m the exact opposite - Roger Moore is my least favorite (so cheesy), and Daniel Craig is my fav!!

I'm one of the oddities that has On Her Majesty's Secret Service as my number 1. It really gets overlooked, and I wish Geroge Lazenby had been given more opportunities to play Bond.

Favorite theme: Goldfinger

I like many of the films, I can't pick a favorite.

So many great theme songs!
Themes in order of preference:
A View to a Kill (this theme alone is better than the movie.)
You Know My Name (Casino Royale)
Goldfinger
Skyfall
Live and Let Die

Probably my least favorites are Madonna's and Billie Eilish's
Duran Duran also has an slower, instrumental version of A View to a Kill as well. Give it a listen!

I just remembered Moonraker. No it's not my favorite, but it's fun. Big shameless grab to chime in on the space/Sci-Fi craze of the late 70's, but it's an enjoyably cheesy bond film.

That's where Jaws got himself a girlfriend!

See, the cheesy fun ones are my favorites - that's what's missing from more recent Bond films. While I think Connery was the "Best Bond" I like The Roger Moore movies better overall.

I watched Goldfinger in a film class in high school and that's the only Bond movie I have ever seen. They're not really my thing, though I do remember liking the theme for Goldfinger.

I like all of it, the cheesy quality of the old ones and the gritty new ones in their own unique ways. The Craig movies all followed a linear narrative while being separate movies in their own right, and while I was skeptical of Craig at first, he won me over.

Connery is still my favorite.

When it comes to Bond, I do love the old days of henchmen in matching jump suits, diabolical villains with some sort of gimmick, wacky gadgets, etc. I will say there's a point where if you get away from that too far, and get too gritty, then you're just getting into Jason Bourne territory. I felt that the Craig movies did a good job of balancing this out.

ETA: I also love the world of jet-set, decadent luxury in many Bond movies. That's another thing you risk losing if you get too gritty.

Plus like with most Schwarzenegger movies, in Bond movies, you need at least one stupid punny one-liner.

I liked more of the older Bond movies better where they were trying to save the world from some villain. Many of the newer ones were too dark and more about people trying to take down MI6 instead of solving a crime.

I am telling my age when I say that I saw the first Bond movie, Goldfinger, at a very fancy movie theatre called the Palace. The line to see it was around a city block. It was quite the big deal. The Palace always had intermissions. There was a grand staircase upon entering for those who wanted the 2nd level balcony. It was super deluxe. Guess I got off topic, but I miss those days:)- My favorite movie is always the latest, so A Good DAy to Die.
I liked the settings of all the movies.
When Daniel Craig took over, I was very skeptical of him as Bond. However, I soon overcame that and think he's great! What a great movie series which started in the early 1960's.
