Bon Voyage Stateroom Champagne

We're almost ready to go and I thought it would be fun, since this is our first cruise, to order champagne (& sparkling cider for the kids) and either the chocolate strawberry/petit four tray or fruit & cheese tray for our stateroom as a surprise.

With the sailaway party activities going on and the foo foo bon-voyage drinks will it be worth the effort? Has anyone ordered this for their stateroom and regretted it?

Just a few more days and we're on the way!!!

We ordered the champagne and petit four/strawberry platter.

It was very nice..the treats were delicious, champagne wonderful, chilled when we arrived in the room, all set up beautifully on the coffee table.

It was well worth it to have it all ready to go when we arrived.

Oh, and there are so many treats..there was only hubby and I, so with kids, you will be good to go..plenty for everyone.

Instead of paying for the disney gift guide's cheese platter, wait til after the lifeboat drill and call room service and order their cheese tray. It's free and every bit as good. I didn't go into "spasms" over it, as so many do, but it was good and has about the same varity as the other.

IF we would order this bon voyage platter do we pay in advance or does it go on our ship board account?

I ordered a gift basket for the room. I had to pay for it in advance.

I sent the champagne/strawberry-petit four tray to neice in cabin beside us. It looked great. And I had to pay for it in advance. The operator was very nice and made sure it got to the right room since we had 3 rooms with same last name.
