Hey all!

The Bon Voyage character breakfast at Trattoria al Forno offers a few characters that are important to members of my group, so I'm thinking it might be a good option for our EPCOT day as it's so close.

If we booked in at 7:30 breakfast, would it be reasonable to get to EPCOT near opening time at 9am? I've never done a character or sit down meal so I'm unsure what to budget for time here.

I think so, it would depend on whether they opened the back entrance into EPCOT (via the world showcase side near Beach Club) at the same time.

We did a PPO breakfast there in February and entered at the World Showcase. There was a line with a rope right before the UK pavilion, but we were allowed through a bit before park opening (we were routed past UK toward Canada).

Several groups in the crowd were booking it toward Frozen (note: this crowd skewed older with fewer kids), and people were pleased to be let through early...but by the time the crowd got to the top of the WS, a HUGE crowd of people with little kids from the main gate was heading toward us. Someone shouted “Here come the strollers!” And there indeed was a massive group of people running with strollers toward Frozen.

My group just laughed and didn’t race. We figured we were there early and would get a decent place in line. We were right...our wait to board the ride was maybe 15 minutes (closer to 10 really). And, this was during President’s Day crowds. So basically, you’ll be fine dining at 7:30 and getting to Epcot at opening AND getting a good place in line at one of the in demand rides.

We had an 8:00 but showed up early at 7:40 for a better chance of making it to rope drop. We were seated a couple minutes later.

We made it to rope drop with 10 minutes to spare.

It was super fun! The food was great and the character interactions were outstanding. It was efficient but did not feel rushed in any way. Hope to do this one again on a future trip.

An alternative, we booked an 11:45 late breakfast. Did rope drop and other things first, then left for our reservation. Worked well for us.
