Sorry if this is a repost, but I just read on Fox News that the pastor also said in a sermon that America invented the AIDS virus to kill black people.

This is getting weirder and weirder.

Yes - I have heard that as well.

This pastor keeps company with Louis Farrakhan : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Farrakhan - a man who disgusts me. We hear about him on the news, here in Chicago a LOT. (more than Obama...fwiw)

This pastor travelled to Libya with Farrakhan to meet with Muammar Gaddafi.

I thought the same thing. Last I checked a Catholic wasn't running for president. The reference to the abuse in the Catholic church is totally irrelevant to this.

Obama is running for president....his pastor is a racist. That should be a huge concern for his supporters.

It will likely be a "concern" or an issue to consider.... for Independents & Democrats making up their mind in Penn, MI, FL, NC & the other states who have votes coming up.

All I know is that IRL all of the people I know that are saying Obama's wife or preacher are making racist comments & that is why they wouldn't vote for him are full of it! They wouldn't vote for him anyway because he is black.
I listened to what the preacher was saying & I don't think anything was too offensive.
I also wasn't offended by the comment his wife made about not having been proud of her country before.
Honestly if my children had never seen a white president in their history books I would probably feel the same way.
My first grader was in the kitchen the other day & there was a newspaper w/ McCain & Obama on the front. I asked him who he thought was going to be the next president..he pointed to McCain. Now Obama was smiling & McCain was not & I thought Obabma looked much more friendly so I asked him why he picked McCain. He said he just looks like a president. Now my son has an awesome teacher who is black, a principal who is black,friends of all different skin color & a cousin who is black, so he was just referring to his knowledge of presidents.
I hope that one day soon school children around the country can have another image of our leader besides an old white man, be it a black man, a woman,...who knows?

Sadly I remember it too. It was sung in tune to the Beach Boys theme. I remember it being in the Jukebox at an Anniversary Party for my great grandparents. How do I remember this when I can't remember an hour ago?

Did he say that he believed it? Or did he say it in the context that it is a commonly held believe in black communities?

Have a listen. The comment is at the tail end of the interview, but notice it wasn't exactly like the quote as mentioned here. She followed it up with other details. Regardless, it was probably not the brightest thing to say but I certainly wouldn't compare what she said and what obamas minister has been saying. I'm sorry, the guy is a complete nutjob.

Then stock market's wavering, the dollar's in the toilet, stagflation's taking hold...eventually someone's actually going to have to pay the bill for all of President Bush and the Republican Congresses spending over the last 7 years? Republicans seemed very happy giving tax breaks to the top 2% trough 2010, and spending the country into oblivion on Republican specific programs. At least I'd think that a Republican would probably want to pay for what their party purchased for the most part of the last decade. Surely you're not proposing that we stick our children and grandchildren with the bill for the war in Iraq and the upper class tax cuts, when they had no say at all in installing the free spending Republican majority into office?
