We just got back from WDW after 2 weeks and I just had to post that we loved Boma's. They had the most wonderful seafood gumbo and the desserts, well there are no words to describe:D :D :bounce: :D :D

So did we - we ended up gojng twice for dinner and once for breakfast, we loved it so much! Can't wait to go back!

I have a 9 yearold that is a picky eater, would she find things to eat here? She does not like to try new things...thanks...amy

I think she will. They have a special "kids" area that has mac & cheese, chicken fingers, french fries, and spagetti & meatballs. They have some baked chicken that my daughter loved also. They do have some very unusual items but everything I tried tasted good. I am not as adventurous as my husband, but I still liked everything I got!!

Does anyone remember the price? Is 9 and 12 kids or not?

There is a kiddie buffet bar with chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, fries, and I want to say peanut butter and jelly, but I'm not sure on that, but there is plenty to choose from for a picky eater. There are a few things on the adult buffet for dessert that you 9 year old might enjoy-like the zebra domes. Everyone eats zebra domes.

There is a kid bar at Boma's with chicken nuggets and other kid friendly finger foods. The zebra domes are also kid friendly and very good.

We've never been to Boma but, based on what we've read about the place, we've decided it will definitely be one of the places we will dine during our December trip to the World (woohoo! :) ).

Now, given that we're the economical sort :teeth:, we're trying to decide which we would enjoy more, breakfast or dinner. We are already "splurging" on dinner at California Grill. Our other meals will either be basic (counter service or reasonably priced sit-down meals) or meals we prepare ourselves (we're staying at a Ft. Wilderness campsite).

So, if you had to choose...breakfast or dinner?

Thanks for your input!

I would go for dinner. Breakfast is breakfast and even though they have some unique dishes. Dinner is amazing.

We just ate dinner at Boma for the first time Saturday night. The prices are 24.99 and 9.99 for kids up to 12, I believe. The food was very good and a great variety of dishes. However, one word of warning. We had PS for 8:20 but were not seated until 9:00. After dinner, we went to bed relatively soon and my wife and I both woke up in the middle of the night with horrible indigestion. I think the combination of spicy dishes and a relatively late meal did us in. I would still eat here again but would plan a little better next time.

NOISE LEVEL WARNING!

The menu offerings at Boma sounded great to us, but when we were at AKL this past weekend, Boma was incredibly noisy and there were always huge crowds waiting to get in for dinner.

We had a very quiet, relaxing, and tasty meal at Jiko and enjoyed it immensely!

There is definitely peanut butter and jelly, although when we were there, it was located near the salads instead of at the kids' bar. My Ds is allergic to peanuts, so I have a "peanut radar"--I can scope out a place in 30 seconds and tell if peanut butter is present or not! LOL!!! Just posting to let you know that you were correct that Boma has pb&j. Also, the one dessert that I keep dreaming of is the coconut tiramisu. I could eat that for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!!

WOW, I have found another Boma's tiramisu lover. I love that stuff so much, I hate to say this out loud, but even more than the zebra domes.

Also, yes it can be very loud, I think because for all the family's with small kids, mine included. Maybe that is why I liked it so much:D

Each time we had our PS times, at 5:15, 6:10, and 5:45, we were seated within 10 minutes. Maybe we were just lucky.

On Sunday, I sawP&B sandwiches. But they were not with the kid's food. (Which I thought odd at the time.) They were near the mid section, between two areas. They were not under the heat lamps. I didn't look overly close, but appeared to be P&J sanwiches, cut in quarters (triangular shape) and just laying on a platter.

Boma does have pb&j sandwiches at dinner time. They are not with the kids area because the kids pod is all heated and heat does not bode well for a peanut butter sandwich! They keep them over by the salads and fruit instead.

COCONUT TIRAMISU??? How on God's Green Earth did I miss that? I ate about 5 zebra domes when I was there, and must have missed tiramisu. Mmmm...this will be taken into great consideration when I go in December....Disney Mom (Magic2000) and I have been surfing DisBoards looking for other input. Now, I will have to fast an extra day so I can fit tiramisu into my menu. And all diets don't start until the Monday you get back-right???
