Boma's - Where is it?

I've read about Boma's on here. We've been to WDW many times, but this is a new one to me. Where is it? What are they known for? What is the atmosphere? Thanks.

Boma's is a great restaurant inside of the AK Lodge. They have a terrific buffet with an African theme to the food (alot of curry if I remember correctly--its been a while). They also have a buffet for the kids. My favorite thing there was the dessert buffet.
Make sure that you make a reservation and the atmosphere is relaxed but nice.
If you have time, hop over to AKL and see it first. Then if you like it make a reservation for another day.

Hello,

Boma is on the ground floor of the AKL, directly across from Jiko, to the left as you exit the doors towards the pool. Boma is an all you care to eat buffet, serving food from different pods, rather than a long standard buffet line. The sections include a meat and carving section, with different sauces; a kids pod with standard kids fare; a veggies pod; a salads pod; a soups pod; and a fantastic dessert pod. The selections are not what you would find at a standard buffet, with the xception of the kids pod. You can check sites like Debs WDWIG for menu selections. Off the top of my head, some choices I've seen are potatoes with Afritude, chicken pepperpot soup, ginger-tomato soup, banana wrapped fish, zebra domes, etc.

We have eaten there six times now since it opened, and have enjoyed it every time. We also ate breakfast there once, but since we're not really big breakfast eaters, did not feel it was worth it for us. The dinner is around 21$, while breakfast is around $15.

You forgot my favorite: Plantain soup! I learned it is a Nigerian recipe, but can't find it anywhere.

This year we are staying a the AKL, but I went to check it out last year. We spent the day at AK, leaving when they closed. Our ressies were for dinner, so we got there early enough to walk around the resort and enjoy the savannah. We are definitely eating there again...
