Hi,
I'd love to try Boma's and check out AKL on our next trip. I'm wondering if there is something for everyone, or will the picky eaters be out of luck? I guess if worse comes to worse, we could go for breakfast, but I hate to waste precious park time on a sit down breakfast.

I think Boma is fine for pickey eaters- I mean who doesn't like grilled meats, a salad, potatoes and desserts? Nothing is really spicey either. Even if none of those appeal to you, they have mac n cheese and chicken fingers.

Just what I wanted to hear. If my DS's don't like the other options, at least I know there are chicken fingers.

We got ourselves into a little trouble here! I went with some other DISers, and we remarked on how many adults were making use of the kids area ie mac and cheese, chicken fingers, etc etc. This led to a long conversation on the quality of the mac and cheese, which our waiter overheard. He misunderstood and thought that we were criticizing the mac and cheese, this led to a chef coming out, which led to a long explanation on our part, and ultimately led to a complimentary truffle and chocolate animal plate being brought to our table! We were a little shocked and surprised, since we really enjoyed our meal! :rotfl:

I really enjoyed the African type offerings, as did my companions, but I would think that with the breads, salads, various meats, and the 'kiddie' items, a picky eater could find enough here.

I think even for picky eaters there is always going to be something to eat. It may mean they have a limited menu, but then if they are a picky eater, their standard menu is probably limited anyway.

Even if you're limited to one of the excellent soups, some salad, rib roast, a few veggies and a selection of desserts you shouldn't leave hungry.

I believe my DW and twin DDs are the pickiest eaters in the world(i.e., the meat on the plate must not "touch" the potatoes). They all LOVE Boma--as do I, an adventure eater. :earsboy:

We were just there last week. If my memory serves me correctly, on the "kid" section there was mac and cheese, chicken fingers, french fries, plain pasta and tomato sauce to add to it. I hate to call it the kid section because it was right in the middle of the buffet with no real difference between it and the rest. Those chicken fingers looked pretty good ... and the french fries were.

I'm sure there were many things that a picky eater might choose from, salads, breads, and roasted meats. If not, the desserts are great!

I found there to be quite a few "regular" offerings. In fact I mentioned it to my husband when we ate there.( My husband said the Prime rib was quite good.)

What exactly is adventurous about the food at Boma?

SOUP! Unbelievable, fantastic, to-die-for soup!

Then there's Couscous Marrakesh, Sweet Potato Pancakes, Watermelon Rind Salad, and great numbers of small portion deserts.
