Thinking about making a trip over to AKL specifically for the breakfast - is it really worth a special trip? I was thinking that we could go over on the bus to AK afterwards, but we usually like to go early and I wonder if the park will be too busy afterwards - it will be July. If Boma's was much better was thinking of doing instead of Whispering Canyon (although we will be at the LOdge already.

Also how would you get to AKL for an early sitting without a car, either from POP or WL?

While the breakfast at Boma is very good, I don't know that I would make a special trip to AKL just for that. The selections are pretty "standard" breakfast fare.
Now dinner at Boma is another story :) We eat there every trip, whether or not we are staying at AKL. It's great!

We love the breakfast at Boma and the dinner as well. The trip from AKL over to AK is very short. I've never found AKL to be all that busy when we've been there in June. Breakfast runs till 10 am at Boma. Maybe after AK you could do Boma, but I'm not sure what all you would want to do. Now you could do AK first and then dinner at Boma, but that's at 5 like CPer'sMom suggested. Seeing the safari early in the morning in July would be important too since it will be warmer. We have been on the safari in June mid morning and first thing in the morning and there is a big difference.

Getting there from a resort in the early morning I think would be tricky...not sure. You might have to get Tyler's advice on the transportation board for that one. I can only think that you would have to go to AK first and then take a bus from AK to AKL.

One piece of advice on AK, I do not recommend AK on EMH mornings. It's very crowded and not much open.

Make a ps for Boma for sure whatever you decide to do.

We tried Boma for breakfast for the first time last September. We absolutely loved it. They had lovely ham from a carving station with this amazing dipping sauce. The sauce was so good I got the recipe and have been making it ever since. I would definitely go back for breakfast and we are planning on trying the dinner there as well.
