I asked about Cape May Cafe on a different thread. Quite a few people mentioned that Boma is the best buffet on property. I would love to know what you like about it.

Definiyely my family's favorite buffet. The food is very flavorful and there is great variety. It is not the same food you can find everywhere else.

It was a wonderful buffet. I would think that you should be able to find many selections to your liking there. I especially liked the soups, roasted chicken, prime rib and ribs. The dessert selection was also superb.

You can check out my review of Boma here: TS Dining Reviews – Day 9 & 10 http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=905429

I have heard so many times that Boma is the best buffet in WDW. my whole family loved it. My Ds8 and myself hated it. We aren't into variety or really any "ethnic" type food so we really had to look around to find something we would enjoy.

Boma is by far the superior buffet on property. The food is NOT too exotic, it's simply fresh and delicious. I usually do not care for buffets but this one is first class!

Boma is by far the best buffett on property and you can't beat the atmosphere at the AKL

If you do a serach on this board you will find many threads on Boma.

My advice is: if the menu appeals to you, try it! Never mind what others say, everyone's taste is different.

Enjoy,

Bob

well said, Bob P.! I actually like both Boma and Cape May Cafe both for different reasons. IMO, just try it. If you don't like it..don't go back. Everyone does have different tastes. I didn't think I'd like Boma, but I loved it. CMC I love as well. The only restaurant that I absolutely hated is Big River Brewery (or something like that) at the BW. We're making our way around WDW trying new places every year (and going to our faves as well).

First let me say that I am not a "soup" person. I am especially not a soup person in July when it's really hot outside. However, if a waiter or waitress ever recommends something particular I always try it because they usually know what they are talking about. Well boy did they hit it on the nail this time! The waitress recommended the coconut curried seafood stew at Boma. It was absolutely the best soup I've ever had in my life. I can't wait to go back next July and eat my hot soup again while it's 100 degree outside! LOL That's just how good I thought this soup was. I also enjoyed the prime rib and the desserts. There was such a big selection of desserts it was hard to choose what I wanted to try.

Do you feel like there is enough to eat here if you don't like meat?

My DH is not a soup person either, but four years after going to Boma, he is still talking about their soup! I asked him where he would like me to make ADRs for this trip and the first place he said was Boma. And apart from Mexican food - he is a Texan - he doesn't usually like ethnic stuff. We loved everything, though. It was great. CG, Flying Fish - came in second to Boma!

Yes, there's plenty to eat without the meats.
