We have a trip coming up in May and have been planning to go to several new restaurants this time. I have read a little about Boma and think it would be something fun to try. Anyone have any thoughts or reviews about this restaurant? Good or bad I would love to hear them!

I don't think that you can go wrong with this restaurant. I just ate there Thurs. night and we really liked it. I tried a scoop of everything....no kidding. It is so different, and wonderful. My DH loved the pork dish. I loved the prime rib. They have excellent soups and salads, and the desserts are AMAZING. Do NOT miss the zebra domes. Since it's a buffet.......you really can't go wrong. For every dish that you try and don't like (because it may be too different)....you will find one suprise that you will love. Enjoy.

You will love it! So different and something for everyone to enjoy. Yummy!!!:D

BOMA,BOMA,BOMA!!!

Yes, my family loves to eat at Boma and your family will love to eat at Boma too!!

BOMA,BOMA,BOMA!!! ;)

Boma is our favorite ever.
Not for the finicky who never learned to eat anything beyond applesauce and burgers, though. You have to be open to different flavors and textures.
Absolutely recommend it.

Thank you so much for all of your help, it sounds like a great restaurant!

I, and my friends who often travel with me, absolutely LOVE Boma.

I am in the vast minority of folks who don't like zebra domes, though. They have coffee flavor and I don't much like coffee. My dessert plate is usually a mess of banana bread pudding with vanilla sauce and some of those chocolate mousse thingies.

We just came back from a stay at AKL and loved dining at Boma! Very yummy food! We tried a sample of almost all the offerings. It was a lot of fun and very tasty. Even 2yo DD liked it. She really ate up the three hummus offerings! :)

My DH's favorite and my close second (CA grill is dear to my heart). He has stated we must eat here at least once each trip.

I really enjoy Boma (particularly the breakfast--YUM!)--give it a try! :)

Well I'll be the dissenting vote. My family did not like Boma's at all. DH & DD have very sensitive stomaches and the spices were too much. The day we were there the prime rib was done kinda medium to medium rare and my family will only eat beef that is WELL done. DS & I did not like the taste of the spices used. We all ate from the kids section. The desert selection was fine but not worth the money for us. But the Lodge was beautiful and we really enjoyed looking around.

we enjoyed Boma's. a little pricey for buffet food, but quite good. we will eat here again....wonderful desserts.

We were at AKL last week and ate dinner at Boma twice. It was wonderful. My wife if vegetarian, I'm a carnivor, and I have two finicky 6 year olds who all loved it.

My only complaint is that since it is a buffet, we ate way too much. Too much of everything. My wife gained 5 pounds and I gained 6. Yikes.
