Boma?

Is Boma a good place to eat with a 14 year old and two 11 year olds? We had never eaten there before and if my kids dont like the African themed foods, is there some normal foods for them to eat?

I mean, like chicken nuggets or hamburgers, fries, pizza, subs, colcuts....... the foods that we americans eats on a daily basis.

They have a section of the buffet that has kid type foods- chicken strips, french fries, Mac N cheese. My kids are picky, but still tried the soups, potatos, salad, pasta and roast beef. It is a must do for every trip

Yes, there is mac & cheese or spaghetti, chicken nuggets or pizza, fries, some basic salads. There are usually some fairly plain (others just slightly spiced) potatoes, veggies, and sides. The carved roast meat is usually plain with sauces on the side, the chicken only has a rub on the skin but they might be OK with it if they don't eat the skin. There are cookies and sometimes brownies on the dessert trays if they don't like fancy desserts.

I love Boma and the exotic flavors, hubby is strictly meat & potatoes. Neither of us leave Boma hungry, he finds plenty to eat.

I've never seen burgers or hot dogs or that type of thing there, but they should find enough variety of things that appeal to them.

Boma is the BEST! DS16 LOVES it & he is a VERY picky eater - mostly kid stuff & ribs/burgers. Boma makes EVERYONE happy - enjoy!

From my TR this past November:

Boma is awesome. If you have any reservations about trying this restaurant – ignore them. Just do it. Go and eat. Try something new, have an old favorite and enjoy everything. I did not like everything I tried, but I did find some new things and it was good. Another highly recommended meal. Oh and the little pineapple cheesecake is to die for. Forget those oh too sweet Zebra Domes. Go for the cheesecake. You won't regret it. No one has cheesecake like Boma.
