How is Boma for breakfast? Is this one of the better buffets? When is a good time to go, to avoid crowds? Also, how exactly do you get there? I thought we would take the bus from our resort to AK, then walk to AKL, but I was told by someone that I was wrong, that we have to go to MK first. I was just wondering how that would work and how long it would take to get there. Plus, let me know if it's good and when to go, thanks!:)

First off-we enjoy Boma Breakfast. If you like coffee-the pressed pot is wonderful. Last time we were there they were not making omelets to order which was a disappointment. They do have some breakfast items you won't find any where else. Check out the menu items on the allears site. We usually go between 8:15 and 8:45 am and haven't ever had to deal with a crowd.
To get there we take the bus to AK and then switch to an AKL bus. You can't walk from AK to AKL. Then after breakfast we just catch a bus to the park we're wanting to spend the day at.
Some people say to allow one hour travel time but I've never had it take that long.

We ate there twice on our last trip, it was an enjoyable breakfast and it is in nice surroundings. The coffee is really good as well as their own juice that they make up (jungle juice I think it's called). There are some african style things as well as your normal breakfast buffet style items. Take a walk around the resort afterwards to burn some calories off!

To get there you will need to transfer at a park onto an AKL bus, but it can be any park, so go for whatever is closest to your resort

Hands down our favorite Disney breakfast! You can't go wrong here. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, great hotel lobby... I could go on and on!

We have even expanded and tried dinner here on our last trip. Dinner has also won me over! :thumbsup2

I thought it was good, but it didn't "wow" me like I was expecting it to. However, seems like most people love it so I guess I'm in the minority.

Our ADR was at 7:45 on a Sunday morning in late Sept and we were seated promptly and the restaurant never did fill up.

We all loved breakfast at Boma, and will be going there on our next trip too. It is a great buffet with something for everyone, including some African dishes to try. The juice (West African Frunch) is delicious.

Our reservation was for 8:00 AM on a weekday. It wasn't crowded when we arrived, but they were pretty busy by the time we left. We had a great time wandering around outside after eating.

Boma is the best breakfast in all of WDW! We usually go around 7:45-8am and the place is totally empty...same thing with later ressies around 10:45-11am....it is amazing and not as busy as the dinner

We went to Boma last trip for BF and it was nothing spectacular IMHO...except for the juice!!

Also, we found it really hard to get to. We took a bus TO AK planning to op on a bus back to AKL but I guess they don;t run the buses to AKL that early in the morning. We waited at the bus stop for almost an hour before we had to ask the bus guys to send us a bus. They finally did but it was not worth the wait.

I would definitely splurge and spend the money on a cab to get there that early in the morning.

We had breakfast at Boma last year for the first time - we called the night before and was able to get an ADR. Best breakfast ever!!! We will definitely return. My dd(6) had about 6 glasses of their juice; and she doesn't like juice.

We did take a bus to AK and waited for about 15 minutes. A bus driver told us he'd call a bus for us. But I think from now on we will take a cab. Much easier. We did that for dinner at Boma a couple of years ago and it was worth it.

We're going next Sunday can't wait!!
It will be our first time for breakfast. We have enjoyed dinner there twice before.
