Thinking about Boma for one of our TS on dining plan early next year. DH is a pretty picky eater, a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Would this be too much for him?

Also, four semi picky kids, one who really doesn't do much more than chicken nuggets.

Thoughts?

They have a kids section on the buffet, so they'll be fine. As for your DH, it depends on how picky he is--he can eat the kids' stuff, but would you want him to do that? They do have meat and potatoes.

Past picky eaters have liked it, some not. Nobody can really predict how your family will react to the food; there's a zillion ways for people to be picky.

Plain meat is a good thing. Our last trip he ordered everything plain. What about sides? I've looked at the Boma menu and am a little worried about side options. He could always do bread and meat but would like him to enjoy the experience.

If hes a meat and potatoe type of guy, I would stay away. We are pretty open to alot of stuff but Boma is one place I will never go back. And I don't think having your husband eat of the childs menu, should be a option.

I completely disagree. We are meat and potatoes people, and I'm pretty picky, but we love Boma - we've been back several times. Now, if your DH doesn't like things with different flavors, then maybe it's not for him. But as far as meat, they have ribs, roasted chicken, and I believe a beef that reminded me of prime rib. They also had potato wedges but they're not plain, they are seasoned. As far as the rest of the buffet, there are a ton of different sides. I'm not a very adventurous eater, but I found many things I liked. I tried a lot of things in small quantities, and it was fun to do that. I found I liked the cornbread, the couscous, the coconut rice and many other things. They have pita crackers with different dips, soups, salads, etc. It's quite a large buffet and I really recommend giving it a try. And the dessert area is awesome!

I am a picky eater but dw,dd and both ds are not and none of us liked it, we will never go back.

I tried Boma and didn't like the food, yes there was enough I did like to fill me and the desserts were yummy, service and atmosphere atre great. I know my picky eaters would hate it!! I loved the hummus and a little meatball thing also the potatoes , but most everything elsr I tried I didn't care for. Now if your DH is a meat and potato guy then the place for him is Biergarten in Epcot!!
