Had dinner at Boma for the first time last night, and I LOVED it!
They served both the flank steak and prime rib (one rare-ish prime rib roast, one more medium), and both were awesome. The fish was salmon. I absolutely love the flavorings they use, especially the flank steak. I can see how this might be a "love it or hate it" restaurant with regards to the flavoring and seasonings, but I was just blown away.
I can see why the carrot-ginger soup is so popular, but it was a little too sweet for me and I preferred the seafood curry stew (yum!).
I also tried the various sauces and flatbreads... The greens with cilantro dressing... a little mac-n-cheese, some curried cauliflower dish... I basically tried a little of everything, getting very small portions. The only thing I didn't like enough to finish was the peach-and-jicama salad.
And of course the desserts were amazing... Count me as a new zebra dome fan. I also liked the mini chocolate mousses. They also had fruit tartlets, fresh cookies, fruit, and what looked like small coconut tarts.
This was some of the best food I've had on Disney property, and I sure hope they keep it the way it is and never "americanize" it.
