Boma-With or Without Kids ??

I need some advice ..... I have DS-12, DS-7 & DD 5. Should we spend the $$ and have them go to Boma with us or is it a waste.
I am afaid they won't like anything they are serving.

They have adventurous foods, but also some normal foods. There is also the kid's buffet with chicken fingers and such. I would take them. I'm taking mine for our upcoming trip. My dd4 is very picky. I'm sure there is somehting for everyone.

We have always taken both our ds - now 19 and 11. The 11yo is very picky and I just asked him last night what restaurant he didn't want to miss on our December trip, and he said Boma!! It's a great place!!

Another vote for bringing the kids. I went with DD4 in August and she loved it. She ate more of the "adult" food than the kid food. She wants to go back for our next trip. We both loved it.

Take the kids. The will never learn to like different foods if they aren't exposed to them. We have four kids and they love it there.

What a relief to read this thread. We are headed there with our four kids in November.

We did some recon on AKL last Oct for a future trip. My DW and I had anniversary reservations at Boma, and we had ressies for the kids at Simba's Cubhouse. We went about an hour early to look around the resort and all of us loved it. We then dropped the kids off at SC and went to Victoria Falls lounge for some cocktails while we waited for our PS. The kids loved SC (food, games, fun, movies), and I think they wanted a break from Mom and Dad more than the reverse!

There is enough variety that any kid should be sated at Boma. It's not an ambiance-heavy restaurant, so kids are definitely not out of place.
