Is there a huge difference between the food?

It seems like they would be similar, only one involves using a day on my park pass and the other is in the resort.

Any thoughts?

I've never been to either but my parents say they are similar in spices. Each has their own dishes and Boma has more special type dishes but they love both. We're going to try Tusker House in October to get us ready for Boma in Dec. I don't want to be surprised and not like the food when we go to Boma for our anniversary. Hopefully, I'll be able to get the ADRs I want so we can do this.

We been to both breakfast at Boma and Tusker House. I enjoyed my breakfast at both places but I did enjoy Boma breakfast more...they have a made to order eggs. At Boma I have eaten both Dinner and breakfast and I prefer the breakfast buffet better.

We've had dinner at Boma, and lunch at Tusker House. We prefer Tusker House. The selection is greater at Boma, but there's plenty to choose from at Tusker and the service was better. At either place, the food is good.

Does anyone know if they have zebra domes for dessert at Tusker House? My daughter & I loved those when we ate dinner at Boma. When I told her that I'd read Tusker House is similar to Boma, her first question was do they have zebra domes. I told her I didn't know, but I was sure someone on the DISboards did!

Last time I was there (November), Tusker House did not offer zebra domes. They have many desserts on offer, though.

mmmm, I hear Zebra Domes are awesome....

That may put Boma out front.

We have been to Tusker House and loved it, but gotta try the Zebra Dome

We've been to both. My hubby and I both found Tusker to be a smaller version of Boma, sort of. If we were choosing one, we'd choose Boma. Their zebra domes make me foam at the mouth. :lmao:

Bummer! We're still gonna' try it, though. I was able to get a 1:10 lunch ADR so that we get the "fastpasses" to the Nemo show.

If they were side by side we'd pick Boma becasue of more selections, but we like Tusker House so much it usually comes down to convenience for us. We usually stay at Beach Club, and Animal Kingdom Park is usually a 'destination' we enjoy more than trying to get to AK Lodge just for a dinner.

You have a win/win regardless, so that's why we try and go to both. They are at the top of our list!

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

I love them BOTH! I don't want to choose just one. :goodvibes

If I HAVE to choose, I guess Boma, but just SLIGHTLY more than Tusker House, only b/c they had the chef come out and walk me around to show me what was vegan that I could eat and made me a special salad. They are both on my ADR list for October! :thumbsup2

Save a day on your pass and go to Boma. The food is great at both with the flavors being very similar so I don't think you'll miss anything. I do think that there is a better selection of desserts at Boma too!
