Boma Vs Tusker House...

I am debating between the two for Breakfast. Going in Sept for free dining.

This would be on a sleep in day after MNSSHP, looking at eating breakfast around 10 am. Then spending the day at AK. Cast: DH, me, dd9, dd 7, ds 2. The kis would like the characters but I am hoping to have dinner at Chef Mickeys earlier in trip so not sure.... thoughts? which has better food? We are staying at AS Music and using Disney transportation if that matters...

Honestly, I found the food to be very similar between the two. Tusker House is the only place you are guaranteed to see Donald. When we ate at Tusker House, we were seated in a "seperate" room from the action and I didn't feel like we got all the atmosphere because of this. The room was also a long way from the buffet (not a bad thing, really) we just had to walk through the main room during a parade to get to the food.

If it were me, and I wasn't planning to get to AK before breakfast, I'd probably choose Boma. The AKL is beautiful. Be sure to walk out to the animal viewing area, too. Then, it's a short bus ride over to the AK for the day.

Since your kids are young, I'd probably lean toward the extra character meal at Tusker House. Even if they see Mickey at Chef Mickey's, I'm sure they wouldn't mind seeing him again.

Plus, if you're using WDW transportation, it's easier to get to Tusker House than Boma. It's just 1 bus ride to Tusker House, and when you're finished eating you're already in the park and ready for some fun!

We liked Tusker House better. Not only for the fun characters but we liked the food better as there were a few more non-traditional breakfast offerings at Tusker than there were at Boma.

I can tell you that we LOVE Boma breakfast....it is incredible

Boma's wonderful, but the kids will LOVE Tusker House (one character meal is never enough). Here's my review.
