Hello. I'm going to WDW in October and have been planning abit. I was wondering which would be better for 2 adults dinner- Boma or Sanaa? Any advise would be appreciated. :)

They are both wonderful but quite different. My boyfriend and I just returned from our awesome disney vacation in January so things are still somewhat fresh. Boma was absolutely great! But it is a buffet. But the choices are plentiful! Lots of meats, soups and many different dishes to chose from. We will definately be going back. Sanaa was really good. It has a menu to choose from. Their food has a slight Indian flair to it. We both ordered different things so we could share and everything was really, really good. So sorry to do this but I would recomend both!

We've dined at Sanaa 3 times now and Boma at least 6. There are pros and cons to each. However, for a couple, I would always pick Sanaa. Boma, as a buffet, is choatic and noisy. We enjoy going here when we take the entire family but when it's just my husband and I, we much prefer the serene atmosphere at Sanaa.

Sanaa's menu is much more limited but everything is very good. Boma has an extensive selection but it's hardly a relaxing meal.

Thanks for the advice! :)

I was going with Boma since there's more choice but my DH actually loves Indian food so I would include Sanaa in our plan instead. It's going to be his first time WDW and I'm hoping it might add an edge on getting him to have a better experience. :)

Not only is the food at Sanaa wonderful, but the decor is really, really beautiful. I also love Boma, but I agree that if you're looking for a more relaxing, adult dinner Sanaa is probably a little more up your alley. Enjoy!

Sorry to be the dissenter. We did Sanaa last time (for the first time) and I love Boma and I love Indian food, so I figured a cross between the two would be heavenly. We were totally nonplussed.

One of my choices was so spicy I couldn't even eat it. The other had mint in it (which I loathe) but it wasn't listed on the menu so I didn't know. I couldn't eat it either. There was lots of (plain) rice (blah). And the naan, while good, cost extra and I didn't have much to dunk it it. I was wishing I was back at Boma because then I could abandon my plate and go find something else to eat. But alas, I was stuck with what I ordered, and just didn't eat it.

We won't be going back to Sanaa. Boma is the FAR better value and the choices are endless. There is no way to leave Boma disappointed (IMO).

I just can't decide either, I keep making ressies and changing them Boma vs. Sanaa, I guess I will just have to go to both!!!!

You face a tough choice. DH and I rate Boma as our favourite of all the WDW buffets, and Sanaa as our top a la carte (non signature) restaurant. But for an adults only dinner, I would choose Sanaa. Lovely decor, great menu, and (especially if you book a later ADR) much quieter.

I can understand food arguments in regards to these two restaurants. But, I would never dream of linking "Boma" and "Value" in the same sentence. A family of four costs almost $200 for a buffet. My family can eat happily at Sanaa for about $100.00. As far as that goes, I would rather spend an additional $40.00 and feed my family at Jiko, which is far better than Boma.

We are trying to figure out what restaurants to make an ADR at and it looks like we will be choosing Boma because it is a buffet with many choices. Also, my wife isn't suppose to eat spicy food so we couldn't go to Sanaa if we wanted to which stinks because I love Indian food. I love food posts. It gives me an idea of what we may want to try or stay away from. Thank you all for your opinions.

You have mistakenly assumed that by value, I meant cheaper. I didn't say cheaper. I said you get more for your money. At least IMO. I don't recall how much we spent at Sanaa, but I know it wasn't cheap. And I was stuck with just the little dishes of what I ordered. For the same price (or maybe a little more) I can try a dozen dishes or more at Boma. And have as much as I want. If I ordered the same number of dishes at Sanaa as I eat at Boma, the cost would be astronomical. Soups and salads and desserts and on and on at Boma.

At Sanaa we ordered an appetizer to share, an order of Naan bread and an entree each. No dessert. I didn't eat most of my entree. Spent a lot of money. We are just two adults. Maybe paying big bucks for two kids isn't a value for you, but without kids, we adults can eat far more at Boma. And anyway, the buffet at Boma is not $50 per person. I thought it was like $29 or something? So that's $60, plus tax and tip. So maybe $80 total for the two of us if I'm being generous. I don't think Sanaa was tremendously cheaper, but even if it was, I got SO much less there than I get at Boma. OK so I just checked to see how much Boma costs. It said $35.99 but we always go off season so I know we've never paid that much. Even so though, it's still comparable in the end to Sanaa for us. I checked Sanaa's menu and the entrees are all $18.99 and up. Add to that the appetizers and bread and you're pretty darned close to Boma. And don't forget drinks. I think those are included at Boma, not so at Sanaa. So really, the prices come out very, very similar for two adults. Especially if you order soup, salad and/or dessert too (which we didn't)

We always go for our anniversary, and at Boma, even though you already get desserts on the buffet, we got a special anniversary dessert. At Sanaa, we got no dessert. They only gave us a card and a song for our anniversary.

We tried both on our last trip for the first time.
Sanaa was first. We really enjoyed the decor and the staff was so friendly. The food was good, but we went with probably the most toned down food we could get as we're picky eaters but it was good and lots of it. We had our girls with us and they enjoyed it as well. It's definitely a quieter restaurant and not quite so hectic.

Boma, we went for the breakfast. It was good, but not my fav breakfast buffet. The staff was awesome here!

Just as far as preferences towards spice go, let your server know and they can usually tone it down or amp it up.

I wish I had asked my server how spicy the entree was, because I do think they lighten the spice a bit to make it more appealing to the average guest, and they could have made it spicier for me has I asked. Additionally, my mom really enjoyed Sanaa, and she's not very adventurous when it comes to flavor. So, whichever boat you happen to be in, they can definitely accomodate you!
