Staying at AKL and we already have Boma for breakfast on our check-out day. We have a mix of eating types- picky and kitchen sink. 2 kids- 4&7. We have 1 TS left and are going into MK for the evening- so Boma before we go to the park or Skipper Canteen? We haven't been to either in quite some time- so help/advice would be welcome!

If you have any picky eaters I wouldn't think that Skippers is a good choice. JM2C.

I love Skipper Canteen - Its a great addition to Magic Kingdom with lots of semi adventurous options. It does lack things for real picky eaters but it really does depend on how picky your picky eater is.

Boma as its a buffet if you had a super picky eater then at least they can eat at the kids section and there will be loads for them to eat.

Check out my Skipper Canteen review on my blog http://www.lisainwonderland.com/disney-parks/restaurant-review-skipper-canteen/

I was not impressed with Skippers Canteen. Food choices limited and many options were to spicy, thus reducing the choices even further.

Boma is expensive, but is a wonderful restaurant, especially for dinner.

Just ate dinner at Skipper Canteen on our trip about two weeks ago and loved it so much that it might've been the highlight meal of the trip. The food was delicious, creative, and the atmosphere was fun. Especially with you already having a Boma breakfast scheduled, I'd say go to Skipper. The picky eater in our group had no problem finding something, but I would look over the menu before you choose just to make sure there will be something for your picky eater(s).

We liked Skipper Canteen as two adults. DS would love it, because they have steak on the kids menu. I think the kids mac n cheese is now the same as the normal kids mac n cheese, instead of the meat & bechamel mac on the adult menu. It's not for every kid, so check out the menu, when the darn website starts working againo_O Boma has something for everyone, and I loved the food.

I border between being "picky" and being "plain" when it comes to my eating. I would not enjoy Skippers Canteen in the slightest. Even the kid's menu doesn't appeal to me. So, I'd have to give the edge to Boma.

We have eaten at both and love both of them.
For kids, Boma with the large buffet (especially with picky eaters) is probably the better option.
I would have your picky eaters look at the Skippers Canteen and see if there is something there that they will eat. The "bad Jungle Cruise" jokes are awesome. But if the kids won't eat the food, it doesn't work.
We were fortunate that our kids were always adventurous with food and wanted to try different things.
