Currently have a dinner reservation for Trattoria, But I keep eyeing Boma.

We are doing Boma for breakfast the morning after, So I wasn't sure if that's too much Boma even though they're completely different meals.

The price at trails end buffet appeals to me, But it doesn't seem as elaborate either and we will be having fried chicken at Homecomin the day before.

Im trying to eat at places we've never been, and those are three we have never tried. My gfs palette very broad, I'm picky but wanted to try new places with her.

What are your opinions?

I would do Trattoria for something different. I wouldn't repeat Boma and I wouldn't want Fried Chicken twice, even though I love it.

Trattoria is standard Italian food - average. I'd do Boma - the setting inside will be the same but like you said the food will be completely different and the dinner options, including many different, unique soups, make it more conducive to what you described with trying new (food) experiences.

i dont think I could do Boma back to back- unless it made sense for my touring plan for that day. I also dont think I could do Fried Chicken more than 1x during a week- or month. I would check out Trattoria or try something different like Grand Floridian Cafe or the Wave for breakfast.

We've had dinner at Boma and then breakfast there the next day and enjoyed both meals and experiences very much. The menus are different and the food at both meals is crazy-delicious.

Trails End has a whole lot more than fried chicken. We go there quite often actually and I think I've only had the fried chicken one time believe it or not. Love their salmon and salads and IMHO (I'm probably in the minority here but I also think they have the best desserts and dessert variety of any buffet in WDW).

If given the choice I'd go to TE dinner in a heartbeat before I'd go back to Boma for dinner again (also probably in the minority here as well :rotfl:). Flame away if you like:rolleyes1, but we think Boma is way over rated (not to mention over-priced). DD couldn't find much at Boma she liked. Now breakfast there is a bit different and does have some simpler selections.

TE is pretty simple but does have a "light" twist on some of their food items whereas Boma has mostly fancier options for the more diverse palette.:) If you like fancy and very different then Boma would be for you.

Trattoria of course is a whole different experience. Again, if given the choice for really good Italian (other than pizza), I'd go next door (well almost next door)...to Il Mulino at the Swan...:goodvibes ...and feel free to flame away Boma lovers...:bitelip: (it's ok)... But if you'd like to take a look some of our photos from our Trails End dining experiences here you go:

TRAILS END RESTAURANT - PHOTOS (working on review as I write this;)

We've eaten at all three places for dinner and Boma had the best food by far. But it was also the most expensive, costing $43 per person when we were there last month. Trails End would give you the biggest variety for your money, but it is a little tricky to get to. Trattoria has good Italian food but the menu is very limited. It is convenient if you are at Epcot or Hollywood Studios.

I would go with Boma. We have done breakfast and dinner there on the same day or breakfast one day and dinner another day since both meals are great.

I wouldn't do Boma back to back. We really like Trattoria and the Boardwalk is a lot of fun at night!

I would either:
-Stick with Trattoria
-Move Boma to be a dinner (more variety of food, I like dinner better than breakfast) and thus put in Trails End as breakfast. I like the variety at breakfast there a bit more, lots of delicious options, and the price is just as good!

I was pleasantly surprised by Trails End. The two times I have been there, it was never full or crowded. It's also pretty cheap relative to all the other buffets and the food, while standard American fare, is pretty decent. They have a pretty good spread of food (fish, fried chicken, beef) and solid dessert options (cobbler, soft-serve ice cream, etc). It's also located in a part of the Disney Property that most people never visit (unless if you bring a camper to the property) which gives you an excuse to see something new. You can also order food from there and eat outside if you so desire.

I'm not sure if they still have it, but in the fall (about 5 years ago) they had a head-less horseman hay-ride right across from the restaurant, which was pretty awesome.

One thing to note is that once you drive to the Fort Wilderness camp grounds, you have to take a bus from the parking lot into the main area of the camp site - there is no parking near the restaurant - so I would allot an extra 10-15 minutes to get there.

I think it depends on what kind of food you like. I did not eat at Boma. I thought Trattoria and Trails end were equally good, just depended on mood what I was in. What is different is setting and service- Trattoria and the Boardwalk is probably the higher end/wider appeal selection. I'd pick trails end because you can ride the boat over and see fort wilderness- better with kids, more laid back.

Never been to TE, between Boma and Trattoria I would certainly choose Boma, I would have no issue eating there for dinner followed by breakfast, as long as it worked with my plans. If you want good Italian food go to Il Mulino. We did not enjoy any part of our dinner at Trattoria last year, that said everyone has different tastes so if Trattoria appeals to you then you should try it!

Getting to and from TE can be time consuming unless you are using the boat.
