Hello,

I am just trying to decide. I need to make an ADR for dinner on our Animal Kingdom day. There will be six of us... four adults, two children (ages 20 months and 7 years).

We are eating breakfast at Tusker House, but if dinner is worth it too, we don't mind eating there again.

Please let me know your opinions on these restaurants, what you suggest and why? Thanks so much! I look forward to hearing from everyone! :)

Sanaa is sit down where the other 2 are buffets so very different experiences. Personally, I prefer Sanaa. While the selections are not as vast as the other two, what is offered is very good. The restaurant is quite pretty and the service here has been great. We just returned and had Sanaa for the 3rd time. After chasing 2 kids in the parks all day, I'd prefer to relax at Sanaa than do the hustle bustle buffet shuffle.

My second choice would be Boma. I think the dinner buffet is a little better than Tusker but I wouldn't want to eat twice in the same place on the same day so that would be my deciding factor anyway. Both of these places are very noisy but I think Tusker is a little worse because of the separate rooms whereas Boma is all open space.

I vote for Boma for dinner. There are so many selections and the kids can try all kinds of different food and if they don't like it there is the regular grilled chicken and mac and cheese. My kids love Boma and my husband found all kinds of things he didn't know he liked. Not to mention the Animal Kingdom lodge is gorgeous and Boma is beautiful.

I would choose Boma! We have been to Boma almost every trip. It is a family favorite. We have taken family friends with kids as young as 1 yrs old as well as our kids since they were 7 yrs old. You get the flavor of Africa but with an American twist. The food is great! It ranges from mac& cheese (for the little ones) to various types of hummus to African style meat and the list goes on and on. The dessert is fabulous too! I would highly suggest going to Boma! Sanaa doesn't have a lot of options and therefore might not appeal to everyone. I also wouldn't go to Tusker House again. Granted you are going for two different meals and there will be different food; however, I don't think it is worth it. I hope this helps! Enjoy!

Boma! We just ate there twice once Thursday and again last night. The lamb curry served on Thursday and Monday is amazing among other wonderful delights!

Of the 3 our family would chose Sanaa as we aren't that keen on buffets.
We ate at Sanaa back in June and it was the best meal of the trip. The tandoori lamb was amazing and the desserts were perfect.
2 of our little ones wanted something that was not on the kids menu as of June (the mac and cheese is now on the menu and chicken nuggets) The chef was wonderful and upon hearing our childrens requests whipped up some mac and cheese and chicken nuggets for them. The pizza that our 9yr old had was awesome too, made on naan bread instead of regular pizza crust.
We had a wonderful meal and viewing the animals was a highlight.

I would choose Boma, but our family love our buffets! We like Boma for the variety of food offered, so that even the unadventurous eater shouldn't go hungry, and we also like it for the zebra domes. ;) We enjoy Boma so much that DH ate there twice on our last trip.

I wouldn't want to eat at the same place twice in one day, so no Boma.

As for Boma and Sanaa, they're both good, but I think Sanaa is much better.

However, the best choice for you depends on the experience you want.

Boma is a buffet, so it may provide better choices for pleasing everyone. It is very casual, loud, and boisterous. It's one large open space, and there's a lot of activity, so it doesn't make for a relaxing experience. That said, I still like it and the food is pretty interesting.

Sanaa is a table service with windows overlooking the savannah, so there is a chance you could view animals while eating. The atmosphere is much more peaceful than Boma, and the decor and atmosphere are calming. I think it's a great place to wind down after a hectic day in the park. The menu is Indian-inspired and the food is just fantastic. I cannot get enough of the place and I've never eaten anything there that wasn't great.

My vote is for Sanaa. The food there is soooo good. Plus, I couldn't stomach [pardon the pun, lol!] eating at 2 buffets in 1 day. With young children it'd be nice to have a sit down dinner where they serve you!
