Boma Or Whispering Canyon?

Hello, I need advice. I only have room for one on my resies. It will be either dinner at Boma or Whispering Canyon. We are staying at Poly so WCC is closer. Also our kids will be 6 & 2. I wanted to try Boma because we ate at WCC in 2003. DD and DH liked it but I wanted to try something new. Which restaurant is better? Thanks for opinions.

Ohhh! Hard choice. I prefer Boma. It has lots of kid-friendly food.

I like WCC alot. I'm not a big eater but I prefer WCC over Boma...

While WCC was fun, we thought the food was mediocre at best. Boma can be very busy and loud, but we always enjoy the food. Boma, hands down.

I much preferred WCC to Boma. In fact I wasnt keen on Boma or the food at all. I just do not rate Boma

both are good but if you have already done wcc i woudl say go with boma. one of the best thing sboaut disney is tryign things you may never get the chance to try otherwise and authentic african cuisine and environment is one of them! i LOVED boma. and there are things for everyone since its a buffet. so you can try something you never heard of before and also somethign you know youll like without having to worry about paying for a new adventrous meal you may not like.

I like WCC, but reallly wanted more veggies, and it seemed hurried.

Since you already ate at the Canyon and you stated you wanted to try something new...you already gave us the answer - BOMA. You will also be able to check out the animals roaming the numerous savannahs. There are numerous feeding stations in the savannahs which draw the animal into view numerous times of the day.

At night there is also night vision goggles station available to view the animals for a few moments too.

I would book an early time considering the ages of your children and you will be traveling from and to the PR. BOMA is gets very busy at dinner and can start to over stimulate younger children as they are reaching their limits of their day.

Whispering Canyon is my our most favorite restaurant on Disney property. My kids (9, 7, and 2) can't get enough of the place.

WCC would be fun for kids. Their food is good. However I have to vote for BOMA!!!! Great food. Cool Atmosphere. It's a total package.

We won't be trying WCC until this weekend (insert big grin here!), but we have tried Boma and I will recommend that one. There are interesting foods for you to try, and the standards for the kids. And then there is the resort! You can spend so much time wandering around seeing the different animals. If you time it right, they have African stoytelling at the fire pit. It is a beautiful place to wander and explore.

Enjoy whichever one you choose - it's Disney!

My vote also is for Boma. It is something new and the food was really good and not too exotic IMHO. Plus I think you and your family would enojoy exlporing the hotel and animals. Plus the desserts are very yummy.
