Our last day at WDW we have a park day at AK. Currently booked TH with ROL dining package. Never in all our trips have we gone to AKL and curiosity is setting in. DH and DD are non-adventurous eaters. Eggs/pancakes and mickey waffles (with a bowl of cereal) is their limit. Is breakfast at Boma worth the trouble of getting there and back? <I'm assuming we would take the bus from our resort to AK then a bus from AK to AKL>

I love love love Boma. I also love Tusker House though. Both have some adventurous ish items. But if no one were interested in them? I'd take Tusker House for the convenience and lack of bus rides.

I've never been to Boma, but can say that my entire family loves Tusker House. Every trip we do PPO ADR at TH and have and will continue to do so even with the opening of Pandora.

I love both but would say just stick with TH since it will be easier plus the ROL package.

Agree stick with TH. the food is very similar... not that I could not eat at both (and have... I once ate at Yak & Yeti, Sanaa, Boma and TH one after the other, lol) but if i had to choose one I'd take the convenience of TH, the characters of TH and the RoL package of TH over Boma. Also the chicken curry (which was on the breakfast buffet when we were there) was amaaaazing. But I like weird stuff for breakfast.

The Boma breakfast is very good. However, i would keep TH and your RoP package. It may also save you some time by being at the park instead of going to the park after breakfast.

It is literaly only 5 minutes from AK to AKL. We only went to Tusker House when it first opened and it was one of our worst experiences EVER. Boma is one of the best buffets on property. Breakfast or dinner. There is plenty of variety. Your DH and DD will both find things they like. It has all the things you expect and then some. To me it is not even a question as to which one.

I'll second Boma over TH. Unless you really want a character meal, Boma is a much better buffet.

I think Boma has much better food but if most of your group isn't going to enjoy the variety and you would have to travel there then I would probably just stick with TH.

DD and I did both one trip a couple years ago. If you are planning a full day at AKL, I would do TH. The characters were fun, even for 2 adults. Boma and AKL would be great if you have a non-park day in your schedule. It is nice to enjoy a visit there with no feeling of urgency to rush off to a park.

Food wise, we found both to be very good, with Boma having an edge. Good enough that we went back for a dinner, too, that same trip! We have also had breakfast at Mara in the past, just so we could get a zebra dome fix.

Boma has better food (even though the are similar) but you can beat being in AK for Tusker House + it’s a character meal!
