Boma or Rainforest Cafe?

Since we make the reservation directly through RFC would Disney know that someone had a reservation there?
WDW would only know if it was for the Rainforest Cafe at the Animal Kingdom. That is the only location where WDW Cast Members can make you ADR's, because you need to make your own reservations for the one at Downtown Disney by calling them directly.

Boma, hands down. Rainforest Cafe has a cool atmosphere, but the food is very mediocre, IMO. (And I can get it at the mall here). Boma has amazing food. I think it's our favorite Disney buffet.

Boma! Like others have said, Rainforest has great atmosphere, but the food at Boma is YUMMY and good atmosphere as well. You can take a walk outside near the pool and see real wildlife - not the fake kind at Rainforest.

I haven't been to the Rainforest, but we did try Boma just last week and did not have a great experience. It was very busy, lines were super long and the food was mediocre. My DH and I are not picky eaters, but had a hard time finding something we really liked. Don't get me wrong, nothing was too strange that it was bad, it just didn't really satisfy us.

Our kids were not pleased with the selections (2&4). Many of the desserts that had had alcohol in them so they kids didn't have a good selection of those either.

I was sort of disappointed because Boma has gotten such great reviews on the DIS and I was looking forward to it. Maybe I just worked it up too much in my head after reading some reviews....

Rainforest can be a lot of fun, but it is very noisy and can be an intense experience for a little one who might not understand that the animals and "weather" are not real. With such young children, you might be better off w/Boma. We do like the food better there and they definitely have things that kids will eat (mac & cheese, etc.). If you are concerned about alcohol in the desserts, there's a lovely fresh fruit table available. Oh, and if you go to Boma, be sure to try some of their soups/stews. Every one we've ever had has been delicious. Whatever you decide, enjoy!
