I admit it, I'm a picky eater, as is dd - but so many positive reviews inspired me to try it - plus we really want to visit AKL!!

Just looking at the menus on allearsnet is not reassuring!! I'm already thinking this is the first ressie to "go" when we get there!! (as in I'd rather eat at a CS then venture into Boma)

I read on allears that there is a rotating menu -

I've also read there is a "meat carving station".... this is what I thought would convince me to eat here, how can you go wrong with meat? someone tell me?

TIA

I don't think you can go wrong here... I think the pickiest eater could find lots of things they would enjoy at Boma!

This is our favorite TS. The atmosphere is wonderful, the service has always been great. I can't say enough about Boma. We visit at least twice every time we go. This year I'm planning on 3 visits, but one is breakfast.

You'll have a wonderful time if you go! But if you decided not to go, go see the resort anyway. The views of the animals are great!

My family isn't into new, unusual foods and we did NOT like Boma as a result. Manyh of the dishes had odd spices and heat that we were neither used to nor liked very much.

We probably disliked the meat carving station the most. Again, unusual spices and heat added to the meats that we just couldn't tolerate because we don't experience that much variety in our food choices. We're meat and potatoes, italian foodies...

That said, I'm glad I tried it, and there were perks...the Frunch was great, some of the desserts were good, soups were good and some of the dishes from the salad areas were pretty good. Still plenty to fill you up if you find out that the flavors are just too much for you as they were for us.

I am also a picky eater. But this is my DH "Must" for a trip so we always go (sometimes twice). I have to say I do LOVE going here. I don't leave feeling hungry. There is plenty to eat if you don't want to try the African fare. The setting and the dessert table make it all worth while. Trust me give it a try I think you'll love it.

I'm a picky eater myself and I must say that Boma is my favorite restaurant on property! There are plenty of "normal" meats and foods. For example, there are lots of breads, just don't put anything on them. The desserts are also great and they have plenty of "normal" selections, such as brownies or cookies. Also, if you find yourself really desperate, they have a mini-kids' station that adults can also get things from, such as chicken tenders. Of course, while you're walking past all of the food on the buffet line you may feel the urge to try something because of how good everything looks! If you try something that you don't like, don't eat the rest of it, that's the best part about it being a buffet. :thumbsup2

I say go for it! :yay:

You should give it a try, especially if you have a spouse or kids who are adventurous eaters. In our family my husband is the only one who is an adventurous eater but we all had a great time and found more than enough to eat.

You'll be fine! There's plenty of "normal" food for those people who aren't so adventurous. Even their "unusual" food isn't exceptionally weird or spicy. We love it.

We love Boma - they have the unusual foods, but also plenty of ordinary foods.

We love Boma also!! We make sure we go at least once every trip. We will be going again in 3 weeks!!:cool1: :cool1:

Our whole family loved Boma - even my picky DH and DS!!

They both insisted we go back on our upcoming trip... :thumbsup2

You can't go wrong with Boma :thumbsup2 There is enough variety that there is something for everyone. I am a picky non-meat eater and this is my fave place at WDW. It is a must on every trip. :wizard:

I am so picky...and LOVE LOVE LOVE Boma! There is a lot to choose from. You'll love it!

:wizard: We never go to WDW without a trip to Boma. I think the variety of good is excellent and there's something for everyone. The soup is amazing and the zebra domes are sooo yummy!!

In our party of 4, three aren't interested in anything except meat (plain, no sauces or funny stuff) and potatoes. I am the adventure eater, and we all love Boma! It's our number one spot. There is so much good food, and for picky eaters who might want to take a walk on the wild side, you can sample things you might not otherwise try. If all else fails, they have cookies and brownies you can load up on.:earsboy:
