I have booked at Boma for dinner and this will be our first visit there. I am a little hesitant about the menu, so I am hoping to get some info from those of you who have experienced it. Also, can somebody PLEASE tell me exactly what a Zebra Dome is????:)

I want to help calm your fears about Boma.

There are a lot of exotic items on the buffet, but if you dont' like any of that, there are several run of the mill menu items (like carved beef and pasta) that you can have. :thumbsup2

To help, here is a video that I recently took at the Boma buffet. It has all of the menu items on it (excepting maybe the kids buffet) and you can see what Zebra Domes are.

Personally I LOVE Boma - it's one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. Just go w/ an open mind and give some of the odd sounding things a try, you'll probably really like them.

My dining review of Boma:

Also, a Zebra Dome is a dessert, it's kind of chocolatey with a liquor flavor in the middle....definitely worth trying!

I hope you enjoy your meal!!

I think you will have a wonderful time at BOMA. It's my WDW favorite restaurant. Eat small portions so you can try everything. I still have fond memories of the palaver stew the last time I went there. Love those Zebra Domes.

My family and I are big Boma fans. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the many choices for both picky and adventurous eaters. DS8 loves all the different soups/stews and we all love the large selection of desserts. Take small samplings of many different items and you're sure to stumble upon some favorites.

Wonderful food - take the advice and try small portions, then go back for more! It's got food for every taste and I bet you'll be surprised!

I'm the odd one out - I like zebra domes but I don't love them. My favorites are the butternut squash soup and the carrot soup. The flavors are amazing.

Thanks Beauty for all of the help! I am feeling better already! I will report back after our October trip!

For us Boma is the new..."why didn't we try it sooner" place.:confused3
We love it:love::love:
and now it is a must-do on our list:banana:
BTW, the reason we never tried it isn't because of the food (we are pretty adventurous eaters)~it's just that AKL always seems so out of the way:confused3....it isn't:)
The food is really good and if you aren't even the least bit interested in something out of your comfort zone you will still find plenty to eat and it has an ambience distinctly unique.
