What is going on? I have just started checking for the one TS we want in November, and nothing is available? I have never had this happen before..... anyone know what is up? I don't think the 15th is a busy time, it's well before the T.Giving rush week.....

I'm in a FB group for Disney November '15 (we're going the week before, 8th-14th) and a ton of people were having trouble with ADR's that week. :(

oh boy..... who would have guessed? we chose that time b/c it is slower than the holiday week (or so we thought)

I am going 11/11-11/18 and had a horrible time with places like Biergarten, Boma, And Sanaa at times I wanted but was able to get BOG and character dining no problem. I booked at 6am 180 days out.

Yes lots of ADR trouble that week, based on what people going that week are saying. I do remember people having a lot of trouble that week last year, as well. I think free dining is to blame for a lot of it, and apparently Disney didn't release all their availability right at 180 days for multiple restaurants. Boma has gotten really popular the last few years, but not impossible to book, so I'd keep checking. Something is likely to pop up!

I wasn't able to adjust my Boma last year that week (I wanted to move it 90 minutes) from 180 days until about a month before. Free dining and ADR hoarding seem to be the cause. Just keep trying! The good news: full restaurants are NOT indicative of crowded parks, IME. :)

We're going 11/5-11/13, and I had no trouble with Boma, but I couldn't get Sanaa, which definitely surprised me. I mean, I got Be Our Guest three times for lunch and one time for dinner, but Sanaa is the one that gives me trouble!? We ended up getting ADRs to Jiko. Hopefully our wallets won't mind too much.

I'm going Nov 11-19 and I only got about half of what I wanted, and almost nothing at the time I wanted. I keep checking, hoping something will free up. :(

They don't staff the restaurants anywhere to full capacity it seems...

Sanaa is the poster child. You can go at 5 and ask and they'll tell you a 2 hour wait...

Check the tables though...as long as you dont have high blood pressure.

I think they staff/ schedule for reservations only...though I doubt I would be able to get anyone to admit it.

so what is happening? only taking online res.- most not available- empty tables like Sanaa.... Disney is pretty good at steering the masses in whichever direction they want us to go,so what is the aim here,do you think? FWIW I've visited many times in FD times and haven't had a problem booking places..... this is unusual given the time of year IMHO.

Simple:

Higher profits at quickserve and...as you properly identified...the food and wine stands.

Hard to believe with their menu prices...but the money has never been made at
Table service.

You spend an hour at crystal palace...eating two pounds of prime rib and salmon while you wait for tigger...

During that time - how many $13 footlong baskets are slid across the counter at Casey's during that hour? How many more employees are there to keep crystal palace running? What's the raw food cost comparison?

Most - if not all - restaurants outside of MK probably make the majority of their "profits" off the bar...not the food.

Just numbers

There's also a long standing labor/pay issue at the table service restaurants as well.
