Boma for the picky eater?

I am an extremely picky eater.. not a fan of onions mainly. How is Boma? Will I be able to find something to eat or just stare blankly at the buffet thinking I will go away hungry? I have heard it is excellent, but not sure if it is for the picky eater. Any advice would be great!

We were just at Boma for the first time last week. One of my DS's is very picky and he found a lot to eat. There are some "odd" menu items, but there are the wood roasted meats and salads that I don't think you could go wrong with.

They also have the typical mac & cheese, chicken fingers, fries, pasta and meatballs, etc......

But, even though you are a picky eater, this is a great place to try a scoop of something that you would not ordinarily order. The aroma alone will make you want to try a new taste!

And the dessert bar..............YUM!

It is a very good restaurant.

We really like BOMA. On our most recent trip, we took friends, one of whom is an extremely picky eater. He doesn't like onions, tomatoes, any kind of fish, spices he doesn't recognize, etc.

He enjoyed the meal here just fine. He enjoyed the prime rib, chicken and ribs at the meat station. Most of the salads were "normal" fare, the fresh fruit was good and of course, the mini-desserts were a hit.

The only thing that he really stayed away from was the soups because they all appeared too "weird" for him. He tried a lot of things he wouldn't normally taste because he was able to just get a tiny spoonful.

Took family of 11 last May, we love it there. Where very happy they also loved it there, and want to go back this May.

I have a brother-in-law who is picky. He eats a lot but is picky in that - get this - he doesn't want to make an effort to eat. So anything that he has to cut, he doesn't like. No steaks, no chicken. Burgers are fine. Soups and salads are fine. Lots of veggies for him. He didn't have a problem with Boma at all.

If onions are your main problem, I wouldn't worry about that either. My husband hates onions and he rolls out of Boma.

We love Boma! I love the large selection, and the desserts are my favorites. However, we have a picky teen who does not enjoy dinner at Boma. But she likes the breakfast, so that could be an option if you want to experience the restaurant. Breakfast has more familiar options.
