Hoping someone might be able to give me some advice:

I am going to Disney Next week and My family and I are not doing the Disney Dining plan (DDP). With that being said is it a place worth going to for breakfast or is more of a place the poeple only more or less go to because they have the dining plan?

So, would you have paid the out of pocket (OOP) price to eat there or should I skip it?? I already have chararcter meals planned for breakfast as well..I just see so many people aying on here that they are eatting at Boma's ect.. so I thought HMMMM is it really worth the OOP expense...

THANKS! :thumbsup2

My husband and I had breakfast here in October. We got one of the last seatings for breakfast (about 11am). We figured it was breakfast/lunch. We were full until much later for dinner. It was delicious with many different items. We didn't have DDP, but we did have the TIW(20% off card).

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about it. Can't wait to try it for our trip in May. FWIW, we stay offsite, so no DDP either and it is at the top of our list for breakfasts this time.

It is one of the best breakfasts we have ever had in WDW. I would definitely pay OOP for it. The curry sausage over biscuits was a dish I will remember forever!

We haven't visited this year, but for the past five years before, we have always included a breakfast at Boma's. We never do DDP, but have had the TIW discount.

Make sure to leave time to walk around the resort.

Boma is one of the only places I would OOP if not on the DDP. It's that good. We stayed at AKL 2 yrs ago and overnight a tropical storm rolled in so we decided not to leave the resort. We had ADR for CP, but cancelled. So we wondered into Boma and they had room so we ate there. We weren't sure about the type of food. But to our surprise it turned out to be one of our favorite places we ate on that trip. My DH asked for only one ADR when we go in May and that was for Boma.

We loved Boma for dinner and someday may try it for breakfast. We have a TiW card so the dining plan is not an issue. It sounds wonderful. Our only problem is that we don't like to eat that much food in the morning, especially if the weather is warm and we're going to be very active.

We always pay OOP ... of course we have the TiW card for a discount but even if we didn't we'd still have breakfast at Boma. The food is very good and they have nice variety - traditional American breakfast fare for the less adventurous as well as some more ethnic breakfast dishes for brave people like my hubby to try. We love it and are not usually big fans of buffet meals.

We paid for it OOP and it was *so* worth it ... it's barely more per person than a complete QS meal ($19 versus $13-16).

Our African dish was probably the tomato-onion curry ... favorite American part was the cinnamon rolls, which were only a tiny bit sweet (no icing, only raw sugar sprinkled on top) and SOOOO good.

We don't have the DDP this time either and one of the three ADRs we do have is for Boma for breakfast. We went there on our trip last year and it was a hands down favorite in our group of 13!

Enjoy!

We don't get the dining plan and don't really eat much on Disney property besides lunch nowadays. Boma is well worth the money though, both for breakfast and dinner.

I have, and would again, pay OOP to eat breakfast at Boma. We usually do one of two things:

1. eat there as our last meal, on our last day, getting a huge breakfast before we leave for the airport, or
2. eat there for brunch, sometimes on a non-park day, so that it serves as both breakfast and lunch for us.

Boma is one of the best breakfast options in all of WDW.:thumbsup2

This place is sooo good! We do this every time we go. We also have the TIW, but would still go without it.:cheer2:

Why not make it a late breakfast (around 11:00) and count it as lunch? That way you can get out of the sun for a break.

Boma has been popular since long before the DDP was even created. It's definitely worth paying out of pocket for!

I'll be eating at Boma three weeks from today. Yes, I will be on the dining plan but will be using my ts credits at Jiko that same night, so none left for Boma. I have no problem at all paying oop for Boma. I love it there, and breakfast is especially good.

We love Boma's breakfast. My favorites were the french toast loaf and the goat cheese and chive scrambled eggs. One of our favorite breakfasts at WDW.
