ok guys, heres the deal.
we have been to boma before, and i LOVE it! we first went in sept of '05 and i thought it was fantastic!! great food, wonderful atmosphere, particular server we had only so-so, but still an overall great experience.
then, in sept of '06, we were staying at the akl, so of course we ate there again...this time, the service was better (still not wowsas, but better), the atmosphere was still great (love the akl!!), the food wasnt quite as great, but still good.
now, this trip, we have boma scheduled again, but i am trying to figure out a spot to put in wolfgang pucks, and our boma night would be a good night. but i feel like i will really be missing out if we dont go. my thought is, i have been wanting to schedule a breakfast for our last morning there...maybe i could fit boma into that spot? we have never tried boma for breakfast, so maybe we would like that...course, i dont know....i have also been thinking about either kona or ohana. i love lilo and stitch, but dgf despised ohana when we had dinner there 2 years ago. we do love kona though, and i currently have a dinner scheduled there...
*pulls out my hair*...lol...everytime i start to think i have this figured out! and then again, should i just leave things like they are and not even worry about going to wgp? granted, depending on how popular it is, and how hard it is to get in, this may all be a moot point!! thanks everybody for taking a look, and giving the opinions! :)

I've never eaten at Wolfgang Puck's so I'm not sure if it is worth giving up Boma's. But I will say Boma's for breakfast is awesome. It is so unique to the breakfast experience. They do have a lot of the usual breakfast items (including made to order omelets and fried eggs) but the African dishes are outstanding. The frunch drink alone is fantastic....combination of lemonade, pineapple, guava, orange and papaya juices. You will miss the zebra domes of course, but they do have some nice pastries. You have a really tough call.
Good luck on your decision.

I wouldn't give up anything for Puck's. I was severly disappointed in my meal there. I have had good stuff from the Express & good sushi at the Bar. But the Cafe lacks.

That said. I like both Breakfast & Dinner at Boma. I think I like Breakfast better than dinner tho. Dinner, I'd rather have at Jiko. Breakfast is a must every trip.

As far as Kona & Ohana, I like Kona better. But, we are a grown up family & don't really do the character thing anymore unless we are bringing Grandkids or Newbies with us.

I'd try breakfast at Boma. Characters are only at Ohana at breakfast. I thought you had dinner scheduled. Kona has awesome breakfast  Tonga Toast and pineapple macademia nut pancakes YUMMMM

I've never eaten at Wolfgang Pucks, But I have eaten at ohana, kona, and boma. All of which are fantastic resteraunts, but I think Boma is the best! My family has eaten at Boma for dinner and breakfast. Dinner is wonderful.....but is does get awfully packed. If you don't get reservations then you probably won't get in for a while. We love everything about dinner there! My mom has a name on the dis and it's Zebradomecrazy, so as you can see we love zebra domes! Breakfast is just as wonderful! Everytime we go there for breakfast I await my frunch! (you can get frunch at dinner too!) I think that if you are going to the parks early and want to get on the rides, you should DEFINETLY have dinner at boma. If you eat at Boma for breakfast you usually don't leave for a while. We usually go to boma on like a thursday. I hope that I helped you! have fun in disney!:goodvibes

IMHO...an off night at Boma's is still better than WGP Cafe...we used to love the place but the last 3 visits in the past 2 years have been consistently disappointing...and if you are on the DDP...forget it, they are REALLY tacky about that...the last 2 times the server kept making snide remarks and gave us dismal service and acted like we had a social disease for using the DDP...I would chalk it up to a server with an attitude but it happened twice with 2 different servers (and no, we have never been there during free dining) 4 or 5 months apart.

Stick with Boma's!!

We ate at WPC last summer and had a great expreicence...delicious food, a ton of it, and great service even on the free dining plan. We plan to go back next month. Also have had breakfast at Boma 3 times and really enjoyed all those meals too. So, I would have dinner at WPC and breakfast at Boma.

It's so nice to see people from my neck of the woods on the DIS!!! I'm from Yardley!!

I have been wondering about Boma's breakfast as well. I have both dinner and breakfast ressies at Boma's for my up coming trip. The only reason why I made b-fast ressies at Boma's was because the Donald's safari breakfast is not taking ressies yet and i wanted to make sure that I had ressies for that morning since we are flying out that day and would like to eat a big b-fast to hold us over. When they start taking ressies for the safari, should I stick with Boma or switch over? My younger sister (20 years old), wants to stick with Bomas because she wants to try the new expirence and my younger brother (18 years old), wants to eat with Donald Duck. Of course I want to do both and have no idea which side to choose :rotfl: We have been bickering about it all week and I'm sure my parents can't wait to send us off to florida so they can have peace and quiet :rotfl: Any ideas or suggestions?

ITA with those folks who say WP isn't worth giving up Boma. The food was just okay, but not anything great, just fancier-looking :sad2: . It was unbelievably noisy and crowded, the wait staff seemed stretched too thin to cover the amount of tables they had to serve, and this wasn't even during Free Dining! :confused3

I think one of the reasons we were so disappointed is that WPE at the Marketplace is one of our "must-do" meals (we  the food no matter which meal :thumbsup2 ). :sad1:
