How is Boma at Dinner for someone who is a picky eater? I'd really like to try it because I hear such great things, but I'm afraid I'll be paying all that money just to eat the kids' food.

And by picky I mean:
- Limited spicy foods
- No seafood
- Limited poultry
- Nothing with a weird texture (gelatins, slimy foods, mushy foods)

I pretty much like to go to places where I can get steak, ribs, pot roast, etc.

I looked at the Jiko menu and the only thing I would eat there is the Filet, since I'm planning to get one at LeCellier, I don't really need to repeat it. Boma sounds like it has a lot of options, but will I enjoy myself? Or am I just in it for the Zebra Domes?

I think you shouldnt waste your money. I LOVE Boma but I like a variety of foods. I am thinking you might like the Durban Chicken(spices not spicy) or the london broil (peppery) but otherwise your will be eating kiddie food. Sorry just my honest opinion.

My 2 DDs are very picky eaters but, lucky for me, Boma is one of the restaurants they really like at WDW. They love the salmon, chicken, prime rib, some of the soups, fruit, maybe a plain salad, and the penne pasta. They only eat the cookies and strawberries for dessert. My one daughter shocked me when she tried the pepperpot chicken soup and it became one of her favorites..the only other soup she eats is chicken noodle ;)

Maybe find the Boma menu rotation on this forum and pick a night where you see a few things you like? If you really only want the Zebra Domes you can usually get them at Mara in a little take out container. Good luck :)

Nobody in our family is a picky eater and none of us like Boma. We tried it several years ago and in November. If I were you, I'd save your $. I wish we had!

Sounds like this is settled - no Boma for me!!! I'll stick with hot dogs and chicken fingers :thumbsup2

Same with us! Tried it twice, but to no avail! We also ate from the kids station - except the desserts, which were wonderful, and the pressed pot of coffee.

We do love Jiko, however - so go figure!
