How long should we expect to wait for a table if we have no ADR on Saturday 8/26/06. We are driving from NY and aren't sure what time we will be arriving. We are staying at CSR so we will have to tavel to AKL for dinner also. We are hoping to arrive early enough to see the animals on the savanah either before or after dinner. Can I check with guest services at CSR to get an ADR for the same day?
Thanks!

I would not depend on getting in without an ADR, especially since that's the time of free dining. I would at least make an ADR ahead of time, and then when you arrive, see if there's another time you could go for instead.

I agree, make the ADR or you may not get in

We did a trip on the fly a few years ago during off season and couldn't even get in. You'd best make an ADR to avoid disappointment.

Thanks, we'll have to narrow down the time we think we will arrive and figure it out from there. We won't know what time we are leaving until a week before so that doesn't help either.

We ate at Boma on Tues June 6. We had 5:40 ADRs. When we got there, the waiting area was packed. I didn't ask how long our wait would be but was pleasantly surprised when we were called at exactly 5:40 (about 10 minute wait) As we were walking in, I heard the hostess tell someone that it would be at least an hour wait. Apparently all those waiting when we arrived were walk-ins. You may get a table but it'll be a pretty decent wait, I'd imagine. I'd err on making an ADR for later than you expect to arrive (maybe a 7:30/8:00pm one) and grab a snack if you find yourself settled in sooner than that.

I would make an ADR before you leave and then if you end up being early or late call Disney dining from the road and see whats available for that evening.
