Boma dinner or Tusker House lunch?

I know they are similar but I'd like feedback on which would be best? TH would be on our park day at AK(not worried about using park time for it for our circumstances) and Boma would be for dinner on a night that we are going to MK for the day and there is a party at night so we will be leaving early. Characters are not a deal breaker (my boys DH & DS 11 would rather have whichever food is best). Thank you!!!

Sounds like your schedule is kinda a wash. We love both of them actually- but give the edge to Boma. I would say- if you are short on character dining than TH is the way to go. We love eating lunch/dinner there to get out of the heat- for some reason AK is always hot to me- but it is a little chaotic. But, Boma is wonderful for both dinner and breakfast. If you can get an earlier time- that may work out best. It seems as though as the night gets longer- so does the wait to get in. The soups and meats are awesome!

Thank you! That is good to know about Boma in terms of timing (we will have a nine month old with us too)... What time would you recommend?

Depending on when you are going- i would try to get a ressie within the first 2 hours of opening. We have had reservations around 6-7pm and have always waited for over 20+ minutes even with an ADR and we tend to go to WDW in the "lighter" times of the year.

I am going to suggest Boma. I like the food at both personally. What made me give the vote to Boma is the fact that you are going in December and can see AKL all done up for Christmas which is nice while you are there (I am a Christmas junkie hahaha). Since characters aren't a biggie for you it would work nicely.

Thank you- I will see what is available. We are doing Epcot that day and then planning to go back to rest before dinner so that should work nicely :)

I forgot all about that! We stayed at AKL for our honeymoon last year so I like to think it has a little special meaning to us- I have read that Christmas decorations there are amazing! Will they be up the week of the 13th?

We really love Boma (it's a must do always--love the soups so much) and it will fit into your MK day quite nicely, since you aren't attending a party. I wouldn't worry too much about waiting for your ADR. You can get your beeper, and stroll around to see the decorations (which will absolutely be up by Dec 13th).

if you don't care about characters I'd do Boma. I agree the food is a bit better, you get to drink in the atmosphere of the AKL at christmas time, and the price is lower (not sure if you are doing ddp or not and it matters) and it fits into your schedule well. If you wanted characters I'd say TH for sure but if you are not jazzed on characters TH loses its edge (it's a BIG edge if you do care for them though!)

We are going to Boma on our arrival day - we are going in late November and I can't wait to see the decorations!!
