My girls aren't picky eaters really but just aren't too adventurous. Would Boma be okay for them? Did your kiddos enjoy the dinner?

It has been a couple of years ago, but my kids loved it. DS is an extremely picky eater and they had a bar for kids that had the standbys of chicken strips, mac & cheese and the usual. My DD13 loved it. She tried about everything and there were some misses and some very big hits. Our family loves Boma and it has become one of our favorites. I don't know how much the menu has changed since we last went, but the atmosphere and the way the buffet is set up is nice, we truly enjoyed it.

I tried dinner at Boma for the first time in early high school and absolutely fell in love. I am out of college now and it remains my favorite dinner buffet in WDW. The food there is definitely on the adventurous side (lots of spices, interesting flavor combos, etc), but it is all amazing! Plus, there are plenty of less adventurous options (a wide variety of soups, seafood, roasted chicken, etc). And, of course, the typical kid selections are there as well (mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, spaghetti & meatballs, etc.) Did I mention that the desserts are all to die for too?!

Definitely give it a try. :thumbsup2

My friends kids love Boma. I've been there with them from ages 1 - 5 and they've always had things they like. I don't even think they get much from the kids station.

My kids love love love it there!

As does DH - which is why it's a must do every trip.

I do love it - really, I do. It's just I love the dinner more and they insist on the bfast! ;)

we tryed for the first time and i loved it! some of the food is a little funky. i didn't even get to try everything, i got to full to fast.

My son (11) loves it. So much we are eating there for breakfast and dinner on Christmas eve.:lmao:

My two 9&7 love it also. As do DW and I. Yummy. Just 6 months till we eat there again :)

Well...my kids are very adventurous eaters, but they ate from the kids food section at Boma. The ONLY time they have ever done that.

None of us liked it and I sooooo wanted to!! It was one of only 2 restaurants we haven't liked in 3 trips.

Maybe it was an off night????

My kids, 10 and 8 at the time, didn't love it. But, there was sooooooo much to choose from, they were fine. They started with the safe kid's picks of mac n cheese and nuggets and added a taste of an appealing looking meat, salad or side.

They definately enjoyed the desserts.

We ate there a few tears ago, my kids liked it, but only ate what was on the kids buffet and the prime rib. My kids are pretty picky and don't like a lot of spice, so we were pretty limited. Glad we tried it though!

Our girls were 2 and 4 when we went. My younger one found some meatballs that she declared to be "alicious," but that was the only thing she liked and my older one hated it. They are not overly picky eaters, but Boma was a total bust for them.

My daughter is 4 and she loved it (we all did). She ate the vegetable couscous, the black olive hummus, the bobotie, the salmon, a little chicken, one of the soups (can't remember which), and a zebra dome. I think she ate some of the watermelon rind salad as well. She is an adventurous eater but everything was soooooooo good. I wish we would have eaten there more than once during our stay!

Nope. DD (then 7) had cookies for dinner that night. She didn't even like the offerings on the kids table.

My DDs were 5 and 8 when we had our first dinner at Boma, and then 10 and 13 when we ate there again. Our oldest was a fussy, picky eater up till she was 12, and she still found menu items she liked the first visit. On our second visit she was older and tried many items and loved everything. Our youngest DD has always been a good eater and ate happily away both times. I think that Boma has enough choices at the buffet to suit all and to make everyone happy.

My kids (6 and 2) adore Boma. They eat new things there which usually would go untouched. The baby loves the seafood curry soup (of all things) and my older son would stay all night and eat continuous dessert if we let him. DH and I love it as well and go for breakfast and dinner - at least once each - per trip.

I was too lazy to read all of the responses, but I wanted to make sure you were aware of a little known activity you can take advantage of...

At dusk if you go outside to the Savannah viewing area there are night vision goggles available for use. It is a rare treat for all ages!
PS... My kids love going to BOMA they have been there as young as 9 and my oldest was 13 this summer when we went.
