I have read in two different places now that they have done away with quite a few of the little individual deserts they used to do and have made "bowl" versions of them. May I suggest anyone who is annoyed at this email in a complaint? It may not have an effect, but it will make me feel a little better. I will be filling out a comment card at the AKL as well.

We were last at Boma in Jan. and there was only one dessert in a bowl that I recall. Maybe this is really new ..

But if you are not happy, let them know. That's the only way they get feedback.

The bowl thing is here to stay, according to the chefs, at least for the chocolate mousse. What was happening was that the plates come out hot from the kitchen, the chocolate bottom was melting to it and sticking, and people were leaving them on the plate.

I actually kind of liked it this way, since I could dip fruit in it.

I preferred the chocolate mousse in the bowl, too - I never really cared for the hard chocolate that the individual mousses sat on. However, if you like them better individually, you can still get them that way at Mara, or at least you could in late January. They were in the grab and go section, in a package that included 2 or 3 mousses with 2 or 3 zebra domes.

Oh, that's disappointing as I loved the chocolate crunch thingies on the bottom of the chocolate mousse domes. But I didn't love the domes.. I too would prefer having separate mousse for my fruit.. but I wish the chocolate crunch things came separately as well! :lmao:

Personally, though.. dessert is the last thing I go to Boma for. I really don't care much for any of the dessert choices at any of the Disney buffets. Its all about the "real" food for me!

I was there in February and I don't remember any bowl desserts...I want a zebra dome...

They don't have the chocolate mousse dessert with the chocolate bottoms anymore??? That's my favorite dessert!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Guess I'll have to find a new favorite. :scratchin

I loved the chocolate bottom. I'd prefer to eat that over the mousse, lol!

Bomas has the best deserts!

we were there last Friday I do recall there being a table where they made it for them and brought it out special for them, so that may be an option..
