I guess this will be hard to believe for some people but my family and I have never had lamb before. Is this served on the buffet at Boma? I think I saw something about it on another thread. If it is, does anybody know what days it is on the menu? Is there a set schedule of the food rotations? Thanks! :flower:

We were there on Sat. night. I didn't see lamb at all. All I saw was the prime rib (delicious!), roast chicken, salmon, and ribs. Unless they rotate the meat selection, I don't think there was lamb.

Monday and Thursday is 'Menu 2'
The Rotisserie has Lamb Potjie and a Lamb Bobotie.

One was like a pot pie with chunks of lamb, the other was kind of like a lamb shepherds pie... ground lamb topped with a quiche like substance.

THANKFULLY we're planning on having dinner at Boma on a Saturday! LOL I HATE lamb! It's gross. :earseek:

Sadie: If it's there on the night you're there, definitely give it a try, you may like it. A lot of people love lamb but I have to say, I gag just at the smell of it.

If you would like to try lamb but don't want to risk ruining a meal on it (in case you hate it) you can get some more casually at the counter service place in Morocco in Epcot, either a sandwich or a small platter. Then if you don't like it, you're only out five or six bucks.

Thanks for the responses. :sunny: I'll have to remember about Morocco counter service, that's a great idea. I can't wait until June! :cheer2:

I haven't had the lamb in the Moroccan pavilion, but Moroccan/middle eastern is my fav way to prepare lamb. I might just have to have dinner this weekend at the local middle eastern restaurant.

I didn't know there were menu's for different nights.....my brother (37 yoa) is a very picky eater and I am trying to talk him into trying Boma. Does anyone know the Sunday evening menu?

Guess there will be standard kid fare if he doesn't like anything else :)

Here's a post that appears to include all the dishes served on each rotation:

Some other DISers have commented that it may no longer be accurate, but you can always call Boma to double-check. Also, Sunday looks to be "random menu day". :p

Hope you enjoy your lamb experience - it's one of my favorite meats! :)

I LOVE lamb, but didn't care too much for it at the counter service place. It's prepared on those big turning 'spits'. I think it's either ground first, or shaved to get it into that shape. And it's thoroughly cooked. I like a good meaty lamb chop cooked medium rare. Just my opinion though. ;)
