Boma Breakfast or Dinner?

We will be visiting WDW in the fall... DH has decided that this time he wants to get the Deluxe dining and visit a lot of the 2 credit places.

We also plan on using a few of the table credits for the 1 credit restaurants. I've wanted to try Boma for a long time, but now that we will be doing the 2 credit meals I'm trying to come up with some non-dinner meals...

With that said would you prefer Boma for breakfast or Boma for dinner?

I prefer Boma for dinner, but their breakfast is also very good. The breakfast includes more "normal" food, in my opinion, but there are also several unique choices. Their dinner is outstanding (and our favorite meal on property). If my choices were Boma breakfast or no Boma at all, I would go for breakfast.

The ham that they have at the carving station is wonderful. Throw in getting an omelet made your way and the jungle juice and it only get better. My DD loves the quinoa, an african warm cereal similar to oatmeal or cream of wheat without the milk. We are going in March for my DD birthday and she chose Boma for breakfast on her birthday, and we will be going back on our departure day. This has become a tradition for us.

Between Boma for dinner and Boma for breakfast, I prefer Boma for dinner by far. The breakfast is good but it is not very unique. If I wasn't staying at AKL, I don't think I would make the trip. On the other hand, we LOVE the dinner and go every trip. I would try to do the dinner.

Though both are great and breakfast has the African Asian influence to a point, Boma for dinner is the slightly superior if you are planning on only doing one. Americans as a rule could use their palates challenged, and Boma at dinner explores some wonderfully influenced flavors on favorites. I never miss Boma for dinner at least once, regardless of where we stay.

Thank you all for the advice!! We have a few more months before we can make our ADR's so I will definitely be doing some hemming and hawing... :)

Being a big fan of breakfast, I can honestly say this is the best breakfast buffet in all of WDW :goodvibes

My thought is that if we go with breakfast I would try and make a late ADR so that we may not have to have anything until dinner - except the snack that DS5 who is a foodasaurus would need...

It really depends on the people in your group. My kids are crazy about the dinner. Different spices etc than they are use to. But they love the breakfast buffet at Boma.

I was really looking forward to this breakfast on our trip in November, especially the goat cheese scrambled eggs, but I was underwhelmed. To be fair, we were busy juggling three kids and the buffet line and the people sitting next to us were grouchy and taking it out on their kids so I think that impacted my experience. I really enjoyed the cooked vegetables and the eggs would have been better if I didn't get the bottom of the pan. DH and I are staying at AKV for a short getaway without the kids. We love a good breakfast so I think we are going to try Boma again since we won't be so preoccupied.

I think Jiko's is a much nicer restaurant for dinner then Boma. So I'd do Boma breakfast and Jiko's dinner!

That is a very good point and since Jiko is a 2 credit it would fit in with DH's plan... Thanks for the option!
