Boma breakfast on EMH day at AK

I am hoping to get an early morning breakfast reservation for Boma. This would be for a day that Animal Kingdom has morning EMH. What is your experience with eating breakfast at Boma when it coincides with AK's early opening? Is it busier? Or does it not really affect Boma at all?

Also, getting from POP to Boma for breakfast... We will have a car. That's our only option that early in the morning right??

We just had breakfast at Boma for the first time two weeks ago. It was yummy. Our server was slow though, so if you will be in a rush this might not be the best idea. We made it from POFQ to Boma in about 45 minutes with the Disney buses. We rode the bus to AK then to AKL. (You cannot walk from AK to AKL.)

Since you are not staying at AKL, I would opt for an early Donald's breakfast at Tusker House in AK.

I don't think Boma will be effected by EMH b/c it doesn't get you into the park early as it is in a resort. We ate breakfast at Boma on our last trip (we were staying at AKL and weren't in a rush to get to a park) and it was wonderful but I concur with the other poster that service can be slow (even though it is a buffet).

Thank you for the responses. I have been to Boma for both dinner and breakfast while staying at AKL. We enjoyed both meals and that's why I want to go back for breakfast specifically. I didn't think the EMH would affect anything but wanted to ask just to be sure.

We did a late Boma breakfast on an early AK day and it worked well. Went to the park first thing; got in plenty of rides; picked up a fast pass for later and took the shuttle to AKL from the park.
Can't remember if we went back to the park or not.

We always do EMH morning, but we head right for the big rides. So eating a nice buffet breakfast wouldn't work for us. Are you heading right for EE after your breakfast? Look out!!!!!

Well, I called and made a reservation last night and was able to get 7:35 without a problem. Now the only problem we have is trying to decide how to get to and from there. I don't want to leave at 6:30!!!! So I guess we'll be driving to AKL afterall. I was really hoping not to move the car the entire week but it doesn't look like it will work out. But then we'll have to decide whether to drive all the way back to POP and take the bus to AK or just drive straight to AK. Every other day on our itinerary is perfect. This ONE day is throwing me for a loop!
