We are thinking of trying Boma for breakfast. Can anyone recommend?

Also, we are staying at CSR, how would you get to AKL early in the morning? Would we take a bus to AK, then another bus to AKL - do busses run to the resorts from the parks early in the morning?

I think Boma's breakfast is great. There are so many different african inspired dishes. Several cereals, Babotie, made to order omelets, ham and other breakfasts meats. There are also pancakes, waffles, french toast, cold cereals and fresh fruit. You must try their breakfast juice..it's called Frunch. Sweet but I think very refreshing. To get there from CS..I think I would take a bus to AK and then the AKL bus. Hopefully, other Dis'ers will be along soon to offer their suggestions. Have a great trip.

Busses to AK start running about 7AM for the breakfasts. If AK opens at 9AM and your breakfast at Boma is very early (7-8AM), tell the driver you need to get to AKL. He MAY be able to drop you off right at AKL if he has time. If not, then take the AKL bus from AK.

If your ADR is after 8AM, he more than likely won't take you directly to AKL becuase the busses begin their regular schedule.

We went for breakfast at 7:30 and we took the bus to AK with the intentions of then taking the bus to the AKL. We asked the bus driver before we got off and he asked us what we were trying to do and we told him we had a 7:30 reservation at Boma. He said no problem he would take us. So he drove us right over which was really nice. Breakfast was great and it gives you a chance to see the AKL which is beautiful.

Without hesitation I would definately go there for breakfast!!!! The food was very fresh and plentiful....Go Hungry!!! Plan on spending some time at the resort when you are finished. The animals are out in the morning and there is usually a child activity going on for the kids. The gift shop is very unique so plan on stopping by. We took the bus to AK then a bus to the lodge, it was quick and easy. Enjoy!!!

Breakfast at Boma is great! I've usually gone between 9:30 and 10:00 and it has not been crowded.
I went twice last year, what I do is take a bus from my resort to the park that is early entry, and then from there take a bus back to the AK resort. The buses seem to run more frequently to and from the early entry park.

We tried Boma this morning for our first breakfast there. It was good, don't get me wrong, though of course you hear about the Frunch so much you expect it to get up and dance, and it's just OK in my opinion. But we didn't think the food was as worthy of the trip to AKL as the dinner at Boma is. The dinner is inarguably more unique -- the breakfast buffet is 80% items you would find elsewhere -- and we find the dinner to be much tastier too (and I am a huge breakfast person!).

Plus one observation that maybe was just me -- many of the good servers from dinner were not there, and instead there were several just-OK servers, although our server was really bad (as in, he muttered something about his "game plan" being to bring us more juice, but he never did, and then announced our DDE discount loudly with the check, as if it was a personal favor he performed).

Boma is my dh's favorite WDW restaurant for breakfast. For me, it's #2. Be sure to have one of the custom omelets and some Frunch.

We have always found the service at Boma to be outstanding. I have never felt the least bit uncomfortable dining here with my 3 children. The kids love both the food and attention they get at Boma.

I am not a fan of the dinner ( not adventurous when it comes to food) but I LOVE the breakfast.
