We have an ADR for Boma breakfast at 8 AM, on a day that we will be hopefully doing MK all day including MNSSHP. We are staying at AKL. Would it be possible for us to have breakfast and make it to MK before RD at 9? I don't think we would take too long to eat, plus we will probably get there a few minutes early. We wont be upset if we miss it, since I am sure we will catch it another day, just wondering if it can happen. Any thoughts?:confused3

TIA :thumbsup2

You probably won't be there right at 9:00. Even a quick Boma breakfast will take 30 minutes+, and then you have to get to the MK. This means either waiting for a bus (which could take time if you just miss a bus) or driving there. If you drive there, you'd still have to take the monorail or ferry.

Side thought: That's a long day if you're doing breakfast at 8 AM, staying at the MK all day, and doing MNSSHP at night. If you don't have a break built in there somewhere, you may want to consider building one in mid-day.

While it's possible that it could happen, I don't think so. Boma is a nice dining experience & is usually very full - you might be seated a little after your ADR, and I've found the service there (getting drinks, clearing, etc.) to be a little slow. There are often lines at the buffet. You'd have to be at the bus stop & getting on the bus by 8:45 at the very latest to make RD. If you just miss the MK bus after Boma, you will be waiting up to 20 min. for the next.

Why not just have CS at Mara that day, or have something in the room to eat & head out nice & early to RD at MK? Or move the ADR back to 7:30. Boma has a great atmosphere & soooo much food to try, it's not something to rush through.

Agreed, save Boma for a day when you don't have to rush through your meal. It's probably the best breakfast on property, with an amazing variety of food. Believe me, when you see it, you won't want to gulp down a danish and run, which is what you'd have to do to make RD at MK.

When planning travel to MK, you need to take into account a wait of up to 20 minutes for a bus at AKL, a 10-ish minute drive to MK, the walk from the bus stops to the bag check, and a wait in the bag check line. If you got to the bus stop at AKL at 8, you'd be pretty sure to make RD. If you leave at 8:30, your chances are slim.

It's just my girlfriend and myself, no kids. In the past we have had no issues with being at an 8:00 RD and staying out until 3AM with no other breaks besides meals (it's grand to still be young!:thumbsup2).

I origionally made it for 7:30 but decided to be fair and give the girlfriend the extra half hour. We are staying CL, but we decided that since it is such a long day, we should go with the bigger breakfast. We have a 4:25 ADR at the Plaza to break things up a bit as well.

Since we don't have kids, we don't carry bags, which deffinately saves us a few extra moments.:thumbsup2 We have no intention of rushing through the meal and we also have other mornings where we plan on making it to RD.

With that being said, since it is such a long day, I'm thinking the need for the longer breakfast outweighs the bonus of making it RD. It should be a slow day at the MK anyway. Thank you all for giving me your thoughts.

Boma opens at 7:30 am, so if you're there at opening or close to it you can be at the bus stop at 8:15 am, and that will likely be enough time. I agree that having a good breakfast is necessary for a longer day at the park, so I would just try to make it to Boma before 8:00 am.

I was origionally going to make it for 7:30 since it was available, but figured my girlfriend would kill me and I would have figured right. We'll just go to RD on one of the other mornings when we just grab something from the CL lounge for breakfast.
