Boma breakfast and holding luggage?

We plan to have breakfast at Boma on our checkout day. Will bell services at AKL hold our luggage? (we're not staying there) It would be much simpler to Uber to the airport from AKL than make an extra trip back to our resort to pick up our luggage.

I don't see why they wouldn't. "Sir, we've checked out today and are having breakfast at Boma. Will you hold our bags until we're done?" I can't picture a scenario where they would turn you down. And since you'll be checked out, you don't have a resort or a room to identify with.
