DH, DD and I will be staying at the AKL for one night on Nov 21. We would like to eat at the resort that night and were wondering what everyone thinks of Boma. (We will have 4 month old DD with us which is why i chose Boma over Jiko)

Yum, Yum, Yum!

My DH and I are pretty adventurous eaters. We also had his mom with us (she also eats almost anything) and my mother (who tends to be a bit skeptical about unusual food). My DS5 eats only nuggets and DS1 will try things.

We all left there completely stuffed and happy. Food, service and atmosphere were all fabulous. It's a pretty noise place but not uncomfortably so. Perfect for families. The buffet has a TON of stuff - something for everyone from the exotic to the basic. The coconut curry chicken soup was my favorite.

We can't wait to go again in 2004 - in fact we're planning on eating there twice on our next trip!

Boma is an excellent choice for the whole family. There are quite a few new dishes to try for the adventurous eater and plenty of regular choices for the picky eater.

I ate there twice this past week and twice on previous trips. This has become one of my favorite on-site restaurants.

It is noisy in there due to the open dining room and kitchen. The buffet has lots of choices from simple salads and meats to more creative and spiced soups, salads, vegetables, fish and meats. Nothing is too overly spicy though. The desserts are very nice and most are small so you can try several.

There are two basic food rotations so you can always ask which will be served when you are there. One has flank steak and another has a pork dish instead. The soups and salads also change.

If there are kids in your party they have a station with mac & cheese, chicken tenders, etc. Plus, they have basic cookies and brownies for dessert.

We were looking to have dinner at BOMA too this Dec., does anyone know what the prices are like? It sounds like a great place and we'd really like to give it a try!

Thanks! :chat:

We ate their two years and still rave about it. We have sent some many folks there we deserve a commission! (And have NEVER heard one negative review!). Excellent food quality, interesting flavor combinations and great atmosphere. Try it for sure!

Dinner at Boma is $23.99 per adult, $9.99 for children 3-11.
