My two sisters and I are going to WDW Nov 29-Dec 8 and I am thinking of booking Boma for us for dinner after our AK day. Has anyone eaten there that has severe food allergies? My sister is allergic to all nuts, including peanuts, all fish and seafood, bananas, kiwis and peas. Does a chef come out and go through the line with you? I always worry about cross contamination. We are taking our sister for her birthday and we want it to be a happy one and not a disaster!!:rotfl:

The chef has come out at every TS, but Coral Reef for my lactose intollerant niece. We have dined at 25 TS in the last 2 yrs. The server was terrible-it may have been him that wouldn't get the chef. I haven't been to Boma.

Make sure you put the allergies on the ADR (online they also have a spot). You can even e-mail special diets and Brenda (I think she is the only one that does it) will e-mail you a list of CS places to go for food that can provide safe food. She can also send you a form to fill out all of your ADR's so that the chefs will know in advance. You can get more information on the DisAbilities Board.

My BIL joined us at Boma in January and he has severe allergies to all nuts, fish and seafood. We asked to talk to the chef about it and he came out and took my BIL right down the buffet table. He was shown everything he could and could not eat. They were all very helpful and friendly. We were extremely impressed.

My son has food allergies and we ate at Boma last year. Chef came out told us what he could eat, and even prepared him something that wasn't part of the buffett.

Disney is great for people with food allergies. They are very accomodating and very aware of cross contamination.

Ditto the above. One daughter is allergic to soy, melons and kiwi and avoiding a few other foods. We eat at Boma every trip and she gets a "walkthrough" with the chef. The chef also makes her some salmon she can eat, and once (when she was testing postive to nuts) a really cool dessert :)
