Boma´s Best Soup?

Sorry, I can't help ya. I loved them all. So much so that the first time we went there for supper, all I had was the soup, and the soup, and the soup... You get the picture !:thumbsup2

The Butternut Squash soup is by far my favorite. I don't know if it's offered every night at Boma's, but it's there on Friday. And it's offered every night at Mara.

Love the butternut squash soup! Have only been successful in having it on one occasion. Thanks Simba's Mom - had no idea this was available at Mara.

Unfortunately we're traveling with family next month and Boma is not a place anyone wanted to go. Maybe though, I can sneak away for a quick bowl of soup!

Thanks for the tip about Mara, we are staying at the AKL for 5 nights and we will probably eat at Mara once or twice. We do have Boma booked for one night but just in case it is on a non butternut squash soup night I now know that I can still try it!

Butternut squash. I recently read that you may request any Boma soup at the Mara. As long as it's made, they will get it for you.

I haven't found one that I DON'T like yet, but among my favorites are the carrot ginger, the chicken coconut curry and mulligautany(sp?).

butternut squash soup is a must have! I also had a soup with corn in it that was delish too. I can't remember the name.

The Chicken Coconut curry and the Seafood Coconut Curry are my favorites.... especially when poured over the coconut rice. See a trend here? ;)

Coconut Curry Seafood Stew. Yummmm...

I could go to Boma and just keep getting refills of that and the avocado, papaya, & grapefruit salad.

I'm a big fan of the Butternut Squash soup, too. And the Coconut Curry Seafood stew. I tend to have lots of soup whenever I eat there. I remember that the Roasted Tomato Soup from my first visit had me hooked.

I have no idea if any of my favorite soups are even still on the menu. :)

Well I ate at Boma's Sept 9th and I love all type of soups, stews, and gumbos, but for me the consistencys were great but the taste just didnt tickle my fancy, but then again I like more spice, heat and savory soups and all these were a little mild and sweet.

The Mulligitawney Soup! I loved it so much, I got the recipe and make it once a year for my husband's birthday.

The carrot ginger soup and the coconut curried chicken soup. I now make them regularly at home. I'm not usually drawn to soups at restaurants, but I tried them all at Boma...and loved them all. :thumbsup2
