I hear so much about BoG but, knowing zero about it, have never tried to get in

So whats all the fuss about it and am i missing out? Is it the food everyone loves or the atmosphere?

Ignorance is probably bliss as havent had to fight to get an adr for it yet as never tried!

Might also be a man theing not being particularly interested.

Is it cs or ts? Is it all hype?

It's because it's the only place in MK that serves wine, and everyone who frequents this board are lushes :rotfl2:

It is CS for lunch and TS for dinner

We had a dinner reservation there in December last year and loved it. I had the salmon and it was delicious but even beyond the food for us we really wanted to experience the restaurant and to see all the theming and details first hand. We were not disappointed just being inside the restaurant is an experience and it was a bonus meeting beast as well because we hadn't met him before. You can only meet with Beast at dinner.

We will eb trying to get an add for our trip next year and hoping that we will be abler o eat in a different section next time.

LOL - but not me; I'm strictly the 'cup of tea' type!

However, curiosity did make me try BOG in January - mostly to see if it would be suitable for when I visit with family in August - and whilst the food was good, both DH and I were underwhelmed by the experience. It is noisy and big (we were in the main hall); so not a conducive atmosphere for a nice meal in my book. It has been well done, and had I gone with lower expectations and for a cheaper lunchtime experience, I might have been more impressed.

If i know zero about beauty and the beast do you think it is still worth a visit?

Normally our mk ts meals are liberty tree (maybe twice a trip if we can) so should a least try and give it a go!

Magic kingdom has needed another good ts restaurant for a while as i didnt realky like the food at tony's town square

I went to BoG in Jan and personally I thought the food was mediocre at best and though the restaurant was beautiful the place was loud and disorganised.

Personally I wouldn't go there again.

NOOOOO...you haven't seen Beauty and The Beast?!!!!! That just isn't right..... Get out there and buy it. Its a proper good ol' fashioned Disney movie. The ballroom scene is fantastic..:goodvibes

I haven't been in BOG yet either but going to give it a go in November. Slightly concerned as the menu doesn't appeal to me at all but who knows, it may change by then. I just want/feel the need to sit in the ballroom and look out of those windows and see the chandelier above me.:lovestruc

The food is on the good side of Disney average. I think the appetisers are better done than the entrees. I can't believe anyone could be underwhelmed by the setting though if they actually looked and explored properly. This is the most detailed, themed, beautiful and quite extraordinary restaurant for theming on property. The attention to detail is outstanding. I think people forget to notice all the fantastic detailing at WDW sometimes, which is what makes it 'not just another theme park'. Sure it's noisy. It's full of people eating! Not quite sure what else anyone might expect. That aside it is in a class of its own for restaurant theming as far as I am concerned. Go book and enjoy.

I thought the food was ok but we hated the setting. The main room is lovely but they cram so many tables in it has the atmosphere of a school dining hall. I'd say it needs to be done once for the experience but we wouldn't go back. Far better food to be had at the resorts

We had dinner at BOG in December, we loved the experience. We sat about 15 feet from the gorgeous Christmas tree, next to the windows as the snow was gently falling "outside" - perfect! The only negative at all was the amount of salt on the pommes frites. We are headed back for dinner again in August. Can't wait! ;)

Sorry to hop on board...

But, dinner or lunch?! Which do people prefer...or is it a case of grab what ADR is available?!

Lunch is counter service so no ADR's but I have heard they are doing some FP pluses for it. Only dinner is ADR though. The menu (apart from dessert and soup) is different for lunch and dinner.

The only time we ever ate at LTT years ago when they still had the characters I spent the whole meal with the air conditioning unit dripping water down my neck. It was crowded and chaotic and we were seated half an hour late. I know anywhere can have an off day but this was too off for me to have ever returned and I usually give places two tries before they're out. The food was good though to be fair.

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty crazy in there, and even quiet tines a year mental but I love the food and style of dining

Beauty & the Beast is my wife's favourite film, so BoG was essential in our ADR's.

Being the old romantic that I am:rotfl: I managed to get it booked on our Wedding Anniversary while we are away, wondering how to get "disney" in on it with some sort of surprise?

I'm sure she only wants to go to try "The Grey Stuff" :lmao:

Also can you select which room you dine in? I.e - the dining hall , the west wing etc.
