I am asking for a friend (who's TA was not all that helpful). She is going in one month and really would like to experience BOG, no preference on time. Of course, reservations now are really hard to come by (she will try). I have not been since you could get a FP for lunch...so my question is, can you still wait during the lunch time to get in? Any one know how long of a wait it may be if you can still do this? Any other way to get a reservation or am I missing anything?

THANKS!

No
It is ADR's for all 3 meals now. No FP+, no walkups. She can try right at opening but it is highly unlikely that she will get in.
The best bet is to keep checking the official site for cancellations - they do occur. Check even the day before as folks cancel at the last minute to avoid the cancellation charge.

You would be surprised what ADR's you can get if you look the day before. We did that our last trip and had lunch at BOG with no problem. The app on the phone is super handy for checking on those last minute ADRs as people cancel when it gets close to the date.

sorry but its now all ADR exclusive
but like PP said that 24 hour window people will drop stuff like crazy because they scheduled 3-4 meals same day and near same time so they'd have a choice, but by then its time to let the ones not gonna be used go otherwise pay 10$ per guest on reservation

i managed BOG day before keep trying!

Trying at opening is not really an option, because BOG opens an hour before rope drop, and she won't be let in without an ADR anyway. Best bet is, like you said, keep checking, even up to the day before.

Tell your friend to keep checking! Especially days or even the day before.. People do cancel. Unfortunately there are no more fastpasses for it and you cannot stand in line to wait like you used to- it is all ADR now for all 3 meals.

If she really wants to go there is a chance she can get a reservation. Especially since she has no preference on time. Here are my suggestions.

Watch the cancellation thread (there is one listed for each month)
http://www.disboards.com/threads/new-guidelines-october-cancelled-adr-thread-read-1st-post.3402011/
(click on watch for alerts to be send to you)

Sign up for dining buddy. Google dining buddy. Sign up for $8 one time fee. I did this before and I recommend it! They text you when an opening is available.

Agree on trying the day or two before. I'm still looking for a dinner ADR in November, but I've been browsing MDE and several times have found dinner reservations (for a few timeslots) 1-2 days ahead of time. Check around the 48 hour mark, since that's when I think people get ADR reminder emails. And of course 24 hours is the deadline to cancel with no penalty.

As others have said, there may be openings come up a few days before her date. You could also alert her to the DIS to watch the cancellation threads. If she wants something more concrete, direct her to Dis Dining Agent as they have several bookings available for next month. She could also try Disney Dining Scout or Disney Dining Buddy which will text her if an opening for a time slot she chooses becomes available.

Info on those services can be found here: http://www.disboards.com/threads/listing-of-adr-helpers-and-prices-scout-buddy-agent-etc.3439297/

Just used dining buddy to get reservation and would get alerts 3-4 times a day of times opening up. It was very easy and convenient .

So true, I got a new phone yesterday so was playing with the MDE app and put in BOG for lunch today and it returned two times options (11:35 and 1:35). The app even had my cc info stored, very cool.
