BOG without an ADR?

Assuming I keep watching and can't get an ADR for BOG for lunch, are we out of luck or is there a standby sort of line? It's one of DDs very few requests.

Your odds of walking up are very low, especially if they're fully booked via ADR. There is no standby line, and it's all CM discretion.

Some people will report having done it. Others will report seeing people turned away.

Its a crap shoot. While waiting to check in (they wouldn't let us check in any earlier than 5 minutes) I watched family after family get turned away. One family as they were walking away she ran back up to them and said "Wait we just had an opening!" They got to get in line. I just had to chuckle because there I was with a reservation and I couldn't check in yet but someone walks up and gets to jump in line. (I get it there's a system to follow but...whateva!)

It can be done but it seems like winning a lottery.

It never hurts to ask, and you are no worse off other than the walk to the podium.

Check for an ADR the day before you want to eat there, or the morning of the day you want to eat there. I've never had a problem snagging a last minute lunch reservation there. At 180 days, however, there was literally no availability.

We went to MK in October 2013. We ate lunch at BOG without a reservation. There was a line, probably not longer than 30-45 min, similar to going out to eat on a Sunday after church.

There's no harm in asking, but it's pretty unlikely you'll get in, especially if you're going to be there during peak season. Your best bet is to keep checking for cancelled reservations. Good luck!

I'd also add 45 days, which is the last day before cancellation penalty.

Replying to my own post...just read this in an article on wdwprepschool: "In early 2015, breakfast and lunch reservations became available at Be Our Guest." So we went there before reservations were available for lunch, which is why we were able to just get in line.

- Keep checking.
- At 60 days many book their FP+, know their location and cancel some ADRs.
- At 45 days packages must be paid off, if cancelling, will also cancel ADRs due to CC guarantee.
- Try after midnight, I often pick hard to get ones around 1-2 am.
- Check after midnight, day of for all those cancelled last minute.
- Never give up, been able to pick up all three meals in less than a weeks time by popping on and off.
