BOG walk ups

coming upto 180 days next week for last 2 weeks in august note upto now there are only occasional ressies for late on, do they keep tables for walk ups on the day for dinner, last year we had a 4pm ressie and i noted there were lots of empty tables untill we left, third week in august so was syurprised

I think if you eat at off times you might have a better chance of doing a walk up, but with BOG it could be a 50/50 shot in the dark. Just be prepared to be turned away if they aren't accepting walk ups. If I were you I would try and get an ADR at your 180 mark if you could.

Disney doesn't hold back any tables for walk ups. Sometimes they'll add more reservations closer to the date if it's going to be busier than they originally anticipated so they'll add more staffing to a restaurant and thus make more reservations available, but you cannot depend on this happening.

If you cannot get your desired date/time on your 180 day, you'll have 6 months to keep checking online for something better to come up. This would be better than not checking and hoping to do a walk up because there is no guarantee that BOG or any restaurant will be seating walk ups on that day. While the restaurant had empty tables the last time you were there this was probably because restaurants don't want to overwhelm servers and the kitchen staff all at once at opening so tables are seated gradually.

We ate at BOG on a MVMCP night (with an ADR) in December. When we were checking in, they were taking walk-ups. I was surprised, but we saw two different families walk up without ADRs and were told they'd be seated in 45 minutes or so.

thanks, will of course keep checking there was none last year but eventually got one out of the blue, theres plenty now for 2 people but not for 6, my grandaughter really wants to eat here so fingers crossed
