If you can only do a sit down nice dinner, which one will you choose and why? Would you even go to any of these restaurants if the available reservation is after 9:30pm?

How little are your kids or is this an adult only? I don't know. 9:30 is too late for me and mine, but there are plenty of people on here who eat dinner that late.

Between the two in the title, that's a huge price difference. Eating in the castle at CRT is special. The BoG castle is nice, but it's easier to get into that one on a subsequent trip.

2 adult and 3 kids(6,8,10 yrs). It is a kind of late but that is the only time we can reserve for CRT. My kids also want to go to the BOG but we have time to go only one.

I'd go with BOG if you're ok wiht the late time regardless. CRT is great but I feel like the older kids might be less impressed with the princesses? When I took my DD she was 5 and loved it.,however last year at 8 she had a nice time but o was so glad we had free dining, it just wasn't the same. We also had much better food at BOG. Then again if they really love princesses that might be worth doing the CRT.

It's so subjective isn't it! we are not late eaters (CRT I think by the time you get actual food it will be close to 10pm) but if CCRt sounds like the most memorable experience, go for that one

We did CRT on 9/4 and honestly it was horrible. Yes, my daughter loved the princesses and the wand, but other than that it was bad. The food was not good, steak and shrimp luke warm. Services was horrible, bathrooms are dirty and in bad shape, and interaction was just ok. My daughter did BOG a year ago and in my opinion it was much better.

BOG is a MUCH better meal plus you most likely get to meet Beast, whereas you can meet princesses in many other locations. Having kids that are similar in ages, I wouldn't do either that late at night, though if you are set on doing one and it has to be that late, I would definitely pick BOG because then you could eat dinner earlier and just order cupcakes at BOG if you wanted to, versus paying ahead for a meal that you might not be hungry for.

  • I think that for dinner, BOG is a better meal -- and we like the photo op at the end with the Beast.
  • With our kids (9 and 11 last trip), the latest ADR we've done so far was 8pm. They'd be able to stick around for a 9:30pm these days, though that would feel late for ALL of us as a meal time.
  • When they were 6yo, I think that would have been too late, but we each know our own kids best. :)

I'd go even if it was late. I love the experience at both places. When I was little and went to Disney I could easily outpace my parents and regularly refused to leave the parks before closing, but every kid is different. Some kids are really used to a regular sleep schedule and even at Disney will be miserable if it's thrown off. I think BOG is overall more impressive as far as the atmosphere, but I do love both.

We have been to both and prefer BOG for food and atmosphere. We did CRT with DD when she was little and she loved the princesses and the idea of eating inside the castle, but we haven't bothered with it since she's gotten older. Both of us love BOG a lot more, it actually feels more grand and magical to us than CRT. Everyone has their own opinion!

You could keep checking for cancellations and try to get an earlier time if the late time is an issue. You probably will have some exhausted kiddos on your hands that late and that might take away from either experience.

Have a wonderful trip! :flower1:

Been to both and I was surprised how much I preferred BOG. I liked both the food and the atmosphere better, and I especially love eating in the West Wing, though it can be scary for younger children.
